You can't draw realistic animal heads, you have to draw them cartoon style or they look like werewolves. Keep the main mass of the face as if it were human, and add a snout instead of the nose and mouth area. The craniums are not animal skulls, they're human skulls with a snout.
Furry is more vanilla than you think, animal features are at a minimum. Many furry artists don't even draw real digitigrade paws, they draw human feet that look like paws and position them as if they were wearing heels.

That's how I draw them. You have to start making the skeletons look like they're halfway animal, so generally with skinnier tibias and the actual structure of digitigrade paws. Put tufts of fur where the animal actually has fluff. Lots of animals have relatively muscular thighs. So basically start studying animals, watch videos of them move, read an animal anatomy book.
The faces also become more animal, so instead of just a basic snout you start changing the eyes too, and you make the snouts more detailed so they look more animal. I also don't give them hair because it's retarded.
If you draw porn like this it's probably gonna look uncanny, furries actually like something closer to stage 3 unless they're into beastiality or they really loved Robin Hood.

Look at the popular porn, it's all basically cartoon people with animal snouts. SFW art is a bit different and lots of people draw those mascot style things, but if you see e621 it's much more human across the board. Even artists that normally draw style 4 furries will switch to 3 when they make porn (Chochi comes to mind). You'll mostly draw pic related unless - I suspect - the commissioner specifically likes early 2000s big floof and paws.
I have no idea though since I'm not a porn artist and I don't even look at furry porn that much (or porn in general), this is all deductions from me drawing lots of furry art and trying to understand the tastes of the community.

Same goes for the facial features. Nose is completely squashed in order to conform to anime symbols. Eyes too close together, ear too high, protruding forehead, etc.

There's complete lack of contrapposto and thus the pose results to be painfully stiff.

Only good part of this artwork is the lineart and some of the stylization, which are both ripped off of other artists (like Brekkist that I mentioned earlier).

Mostly foreshortening issues. It might help to conceive the three masses of the head, torso, and hips as cubes and arrange them that way.

Actually, I think that big brushes are sort of a meme. Imho, most amateurs like it so they can make their art heavily stylized (strong, thick lines) to make up for their lack of skill. I actually improved after switching to thinner brushes, since I have to put a lot more work and thought to make my art more appealing.

Study more skin and how light interacts with it, you're still rendering it like metal.
Translucent objects have very subtle shadows because light pierces through and lights them up. Translucent objects are much more defined by saturation shifts rather than value shifts.
I know you're super excited about discovering subsurface scattering and all but use it more sparingly and in the right places, there isn't a large blood vessel density in the fatty layer of her quads or on the tip of her fucking elbow. The reddish tint all over the place makes it look like the skin is irritated or downright infected.
Light setup - either simplify it by using only 1-2 complementing light sources, or (which would be even better) use diffused light as your main.
It looks better for erotic setups because direct light creates high contrast which our brain translates into being seen and vulnerable to potential threats, which makes it difficult to "get into the mood".

You're a good draftsman but you should def be more conscious about these things

There’s a lot of movement in the sketch, it’s pretty nice. Try to keep your proportions in check, her lower legs are too long and right upper arm is too short. Also I just noticed her side mouth and I can’t unsee it. The biggest problems with this image are your lack of construction and lack of
knowledge with anatomy. With that being said, you don't realize the literal gravity of
things. Her hair is seamlessly floating being the biggest example and her breasts
sagging while her arms are up being the second largest.


Right away my first thought was to give her a more dynamic face angle. Straight on is
NEVER a good idea. It's clear that you used a reference, and kudos to you for not
tracing it. Unfortunately you didn't construct anything, me being able to tell this since
you have folds of skin overlapping where they shouldn't and pieces of her body seem
detached and flat. You should go study figure drawing, construction, and proportions
as your priority.


Here are the anatomically wrong things I can be bothered to list off:


Arms are too short, lack curves that wrap around the form, and aren't correctly
attached to the torso.

Face lacks any depth. I know anime is symbols, but symbols still need to wrap
around the face and need to somewhat mimic reality.

Breasts are sagging. They should be perkier and lifted slightly since her arms are up
and they are of smallish size. Our skin stretches and squishes depending on what we
do with other parts of our body.

The torso is a mess. I don't even want to go into detail since it's all very wrong.
Same with the legs. You were symbol drawing what you thought these parts of the
body were, but failed to recognize how the muscles and bones worked.


Like I previously stated, you should go study figure drawing, construction, and proportions.

That's really not true. It just depends on what kind of mood you want to create.
Your redline here completely changed the mood of the original, and it's mostly because you changed the angle of the head and her facial expression.

Clearly only used one type of brush so things look boring. Pose isn't very interesting and looks stiff, would be better to make the pose more fluid and put the camera above her. Also the shading around the pelvis is super muddy, you could only get away with that if you were adding concept doodles of people to a landscape. The external oblique and gluteus medeus are supposed to be very separate, clear masses.

I built my fanbase off of commissions. It was a pretty good idea to have them open from the start since its good for publicity (people share their art of their OC with their friends or fanart gets circulated). You have to post everywhere though, even if this kind of fanbase is loyal.
Currently have a pretty successful Patreon and around 15k followers.

What kind of look were you going for with their hair? Because it looks bad. Especially the short-haired gal, it looks like she's just wearing a very badly made wig. If it weren't for the tiny bit of color, I wouldn't be able to see what hair color you were going for at all. I'd advise you to not draw individual strands in the future.
The slightly blue shading on her ass also just looks out of place. Where's it coming from? Actually, the background colors don't really match the coloring you're going for.

If you are willing to take the time I'd be very appreciative to have it broken down more. In my experience the longer I work on a drawing the more sight blind I am to errors that pile up.

Almost. Fix the breasts and show a tiny bit of the girls far shoulder. Even for very perky breasts or implants there should be a layer of adipose tissue over the pectoralis major that slopes down into the breasts. Also because the male's head is in between the breasts the far breast would definitely be pushed farther away and not up (unless it's implied that he's grabbing and pushing it up? If so indicate this). A little more asymmetry on the male's legs wouldn't hurt either.

Just nitpicking, but overall yes it's quite erotic. Good job anon
