I'm slowly learning how to draw like Kim Jung Gi. What kind of objects/scenes should I practice? I know Gi loves to draw astronauts, a couple types of guns, a few types of cars, tigers, pigs, and women. What should I focus on?

just don’t forget the vehicles and grand theatrical scenes with multiple characters, then it will be something worth paying attention to

Perspective. Get so good that you can do complex perspective without construction lines

Then

Grab a visual dictionary and memorize everything

Not OP, but this is cool advice that hasn't even crossed my mind, thanks.

OP/others - any advice from your journey learning from Kim Jung Gi? I've taken to drawing literally constantly and also have listened to many of his speaking/drawing engagements where he talks about his meditative state of visualization and it's fascinating.

Drawing cubes and cylinders everyday and focusing on the viewpoint & accuracy of perspective really helps me warm up to think about and draw more complicated things. It's kind of cathartic too.

Do you have any links for those? I'm very interested in trying to improve visualization

VR-headset and watch perspective grids and objects rotate and spin in that grid while playing relaxing music

I gotta look, there was a video on here that was like, hard to find that really helped me wrap my mind about how I should think and change my mind, and it was all Gi drawing and talking it through. Honestly just watch him going through his sketchbook on Youtube and it's really helpful imo.

Do people really have that hard of a time visualizing things in there mind?
Im not close to KJG but i can still rotate and look at objects from different angles then fill in what i cant see with imagination
I cant have multiple objects interacting with one another or make full on scenes with values but smaller objects and large singular objects arnt hard

just draw what you enjoy
