This isn't some basic porn peddling, we're into fine art territory prices where you're expected to hold onto a physical item (that isn't your dick) by the end of it. The Mignola example was just to say "you can get original art by a legit famous person".
It's also basic porn so nothing extremely niche or illegal, this price is just the artist's signature. Pretty insane that furries throw this money around for their dog avatars.

They use a payment plan. Furries can afford to buy fur suits too and they range around 3k and the highest being 17k. Some people spend money on different things, some might waste it on pets, eating out, and expensive clothes. I don’t see how spending 500 dollars a month makes you a trust fund baby.
