Why does art seem to attract people who are prone to depression or other psychological problems?

>> No.3876790

There is an order of compensation, art is low on the list.

>> No.3876796

Because it takes no effort so it attracts genetic trash

>> No.3876800

Cuz art is escapism

Source?

I'm not entirely convinced that normalfags think or feel anything unique. Like sure, dogs get sad, but they don't make art.

I feel like that applies to most if not all creativity based fields, and well creativity is heavily based on the artist as a person, and I suppose the more wacky=the more creative
but that’s just a theory

because creatives have internal monologues that fuel a desire or need to create which is why they do. that same monologue can turn on you and tell you you should fucking die and nobody loves you. some normies don't actually have the capacity to think at all. some normies do but try to lie to themselves so they aren't artists but they might as well be since they hate life and everything about themselves.

You shut the fuck up you fucking faggot. Post your art if you hate these threads so much

>> No.3877055

I'm so fucking tired of seeing tweets about how fragile and unique artists are and how much should we care for them. I am not a fragile, weak minded little bitch like they say.
Sometimes I wanna make a tweet saying that, but I feel I would scare some people off.

By making that tweet you could get me as a follower tho
As to answer OP question, art is all about expression so of course it would attract overly-complex faggots

Depends on what the cause of the depression is.
Personally, i've been drawing since i was a child and i was never able to adapt to normies + being told 24/7 what a piece of living garbage i am for not prostrating myself to the almight money... well, art is what i have left. And even that seems to be infected.
There is no saving.
Only the void.

When you get bullied and/or rejected for whatever reason as a kid there's a high chance for you to isolate yourself and pick up a creative hobby to cope until you become better adjusted to society (or not lel). Ask around and you'll realize that a lot of artfags had a somewhat lonely childhood.

autism is related to creativity, yes austistic people tend to be more creative than non

i think that's just something most people have to a certain extent. I don't know a single person that doesn't at least claim to be depressed

More of a deranged outcast you are, the better you will be at seeing outside the box, which is valuable in art
