I'm on a Discord where they made me an art channel to post my work, nobody but me can post in it, it's just there for people to look at it if they feel like it, lotta people come in and out of the discord so it's a way for people to see my work.

I dont post my work on the internet but if I did, this would be the only place where I would trust people to rate it, because you all don't care about your next of kin feelings and would not care to make some cry, quit drawing or anything like that, and these are the only kind of people one can actually trust to rate stuff. I would know that anything good would be actually good and anything less than good would suck.

For all its faults, /ic/ has some positive that put it above the rest (which isn't that much of a feat honestly when everything else is a circlejerk, a hugbox, dead, or a mix of the 3). If you don't let the crabs and absolute imbeciles get to (you), which is what you should aim for, it's a decent place.
If you lurk a bit, sometimes you'll find a gem that'll help you progress here and there, a good crit, some resource, good tutorials/refs ripped from some website,... The artbook thread is a godsent. DAD is nice to help you get drawing daily. There are cool anons roaming the board too, I made a couple of friends here. Again, up to you to focus on the negative side of things, but you'll never get anywhere with that mentality.
