The only reason this got popular was because of the waifubait demon character. Without her, I can guarantee no one would care about this short. It looks like your average calarts-tier nu-animation, nothing special in terms of artistic vision/quality.

It depends on what kind of cartoon you're making. Something like Akira or Theif and the Cobbler visually look more impressive because the artists behind them were dedicated to the craft. They took it a step above mainstream kids cartoons.
