I want to become a popular artist on deviantart. I haven't learned to draw yet but I thought it would be a good idea to make an account so that I can say I have been an artist since X date and have years of artistry under my belt instead of making an account in 5 years time when I'm a pro and being a new user on the site. But I'm struggling to think up a username to go along with my art. How did you chose your deviantart username?

Also if anyone's technologically incompetent(hey) and has never downloaded a MOBI or EPUB file before, you'll need a reader to display the page. I like Sumatra PDF, so far as I can tell it seems to work. It also looks like it's been forgotten by time, which is great for classics and horror.

How the fuck does reading a novel about the Congo River in the 19th century have any relevance to computer usernames on a modern website??

Off topic but check out Montaignes essays, they’re fucking hilarious and insightful. His writing gets really good once he hits his early 50’s. It’s on audible as well, good for long road trips.

Basically shittalking from the 1500’s, topics range through all aspects of life.

Topics cover all aspects of life, there’s 1500’s strategies for NoFap and depression. Think he got cucked as well because he mentioned his wife had an 11 month pregnancy (so it is possible!). Deep shit about the nature of senses, whether the animals have their own animal gods, etc.

The guy self described as a lazy neet manlet who felt it impossible to motivate himself and get anything done, would’ve been a 4channer for sure.
People haven’t changed in the last 500 years

1.) I find being half focused and half bored to be great for creative thinking, though shitty internet fiction and porn is probably better for that

2.) Books are full of interesting concepts and readable names. Like off the top of my head- Ragnar Danneskjold, that fucking 1960s Objectivist pirate from Atlas Shrugged. Phillip Hastane, Clark Ashton Smith's self insert from City of the Singing Flame. Eldritchdark, which'd be a perfectly functional username if it wasn't already the website where CAS's stories are kept. (Dream-Quest of Unknown) Kadath, which tragically already got dibs'd by a mediocre furry artist.
You're trying to think of something with an emotional connection, right? Otherwise you would've just looked up a name generator.

anon, that site is dead. Good luck competing with people who's been there for years. Upload a pic and it'll only stay in new for a couple minutes.

>username issue
One thing I did was get a few letters from my real name (first name, middle.name, surname), and form a new word with them. My username is neither western nor weaaboo, and the best part is that it isn't taken in any sites. Better than muh animals with color trend

fuck off with that shit

pictures get cropped there, though. At least with twitter you can cheat the quality downgrade, and must only do something with your bot followers. Keep them off. They fuck up your algorithm.

There's so many things wrong about your approach and understanding on art, it's laughable

The one (1) opinion he gave on art and promoting it was the idea that it'd be better to have an old account rather than bomb onto the scene already skilled.
It was polite of you to bump though, I guess

just draw

>> No.3840602

>>3840560
In what way does it matter how long you do have an art account on deviantart? There are artist on this page for 15 years and they have nothing to show for it and then there's people that "bomb" the scene. It's just irrelevant.

And approaching art with the mindset of "I want to be an popular artist" is just wrong, even more so if he even hasn't learned to draw. And a nice username won't make him popular either.

2/10, made me reply

Popular on deviantart is not something you should aim for, buddy.
