I draw every panel on an individual sheet of paper, I try to do each panel at least twice the size it will appear in the printed version -though my scanner sometimes limits me in this respect

I do the vast majority of the ink wash painting with warhammer miniature-detailing brushes

The typeface used in the comic is an original one designed by a friend of mine- I like the look of it but it takes a fuckload of kerning when setting it.

though I do certainly draw it all by hand, there is more editing in photoshop of the drawings than I like to admit. thank fucking god for the clone stamp tool

Again, there are more re-used assets throughout the book than i would prefer- but I had deadlines for events selling the printed copies to consider.

That Rose Window (hint hint) took me two fucking weeks. It was all done by hand in pencil. I used a compass, I used a square, I used a protractor, I did everything right. When it came time to do the outlines in felt marker I didnt have a steady enough hand. fucking ruined, I had to go into adobe illustrator and recreate the shapes.

The top panel of this page is a good example of the flexibility that photoshop affords. the marching soldiers, the standing soldiers and the country were all drawn separately and then assembled. this allowed me to make them large enough to get the detail I wanted and still scan them

We're really getting into it now. A page like this with a predominantly dark background is something that takes a lot of photoshop editing. after I put all the work in to the edge quality of the figures and furniture I am wary about piling on the black to make a dark bg. polygonal lasso is essential.

funny story about this page: This image actually started out as an assignment in art school. I had a class in my final semester called Erotic Illustration. for the final we all got to choose and illustrate a fetish. mine was HYPNOSIS.

The faces are all uncanny valley or traced garbage. Paneling is trash too.

Make it fucking anime, even if its mediocre or christopher hart/andrew dobson tier, you'll at least have a few that faps to it.

The plot is fucking boring and there's nothing unique or creative about it- japs have been making corruption shit ever since they invented doujins.

Hello, thanks for reading this first issue of black budget. This comic series will be an exploration onto mind control. This work will meld the real and documented with the ficticious and imagind*. When something false is present it may be there to draw parallels to something else. The Al-Shifa pharmaceutial** plant and the cruise missile strikes on it is a stand in for the 1983 bombing of a mental hospital by US forces during the invasion of Grenada, which some in the alternative media posit was an action not unlike that described in this comic *** the cypher you now read is not the only coded message in this book

you're very good at rendering but i would work on the faces and details of the people you draw. as for the comic it got an ironic chuckle out of me but the faces look too uncanny to get me a boner

I really appreciate that, thank you- I do personally find rendering female faces fairly difficult- striking the balance between appealing and recognizable I find tough. I'll continue to work on that in the future and maybe swap out some of the weaker faces in this first issue.
