I always think of doodling as being non-constructive and a waste of paper. Occasionally I'll get the urge to doodle, but whenever I do, it comes out like shit, so I stifle it.

I spend all my time doing studies, meticulous practices, and sketches. I suppose my art's improving, but I haven't actually made a real piece of work that I could show off to anyone. Nothing I'm proud of anyway.

>I use a Uni Ball Kuru Toga 0.5mm, should I use different grade pencils instead to begin with?
>Should I keep buying layout paper or get a lightbox?
>My scanner is a HP Deskjet 1515 (it's a decade old), what's a better alternative?
>How often should I attend a life drawing class?
>I feel more confident working without guidelines and struggle when I use them, how do I overcome this frustration?

>The elegiac couplet is presumed to be the oldest Greek form of epodic poetry (a form where a later verse is sung in response or comment to a previous one). Scholars, who even in the past did not know who created it,[2] theorize the form was originally used in Ionian dirges, with the name "elegy" derived from the Greek ε, λεγε ε, λεγε—"Woe, cry woe, cry!" Hence, the form was used initially for funeral songs, typically accompanied by an aulos, a double-reed instrument. Archilochus expanded use of the form to treat other themes, such as war, travel, or homespun philosophy. Between Archilochus and other imitators, the verse form became a common poetic vehicle for conveying any strong emotion.

Check the orientation of the phone when you take the picture. Your iPhone notices when you actually meant to take the picture in a vertical and portrays it as such in Photos.
