I like it. He still has some issues with symmetry and perspective, like that lower leg on the left being a bit too short and the part where the hair splits. He's obviously still in the phase of exploring his own style so I'm sure he'll get a lot better after he truly knows what he wants.

The character design seems really, really random. There's no story here, the girl and the dog have nothing tying them together.
The poses are the most boring standing poses, no expression, no interesting camera angle.
Backgroung is 3 basic rocks on a basic gradient sky.
Rendering is ok I guess.

I don't like RJ, I don't think this piece is good. But it doesn't offend the senses like Sakimichan's garish, vulgar shit.
The rendering is pretty damn good except on a few parts like the dog's paws, and he has a sense of mood from the colors he uses and the brush techniques. You recognize a RJ painting at least

There are dozens of porn artists that produce crap absolutely indistinguishable from sakimi

All his artwork suffers when given a sci-fi theme. His purely fantasy art is nicer to me.

He'd never do it but I'd like to see him make something out of Kill Six Billion Demons, the art direction seems well suited for RJ's style.

What I think everyone is forgetting is that this is a casual painting. He probably spent like 2-3 hours on it, taking random ideas from the chat for fun.

He's obviously capable of really good work, so I don't know why people try to make a point that he's a hack just because he doesn't take every piece 200% serious. This shit is obviously just for shits and giggles.
