i've drawn since i was a kid and i still suck ass. so many people in my personal life consider drawing to be my thing and think of it as my talent even though i'm terrible at it and that just makes me feel more hopeless about life in general

well, I've been drawing mostly focusing a lot recently this year 9th-10th grade (yes, I am a zoomer) it originally started as a way to take care of my depression but now I am now studying Loomis and going to private lessons. and I have been studying more again and watch YouTubers like prokio and sicra. and i have been but my "styled" work is shitty

so i guess 3 years but 6 months taking it seriosly

Anyway for someone in school who has been drawing seriously for 6 months you are doing fine, keep going. You sound like you have a decent learning plan. You also have a lot of time ahead of you, so there’s nothing to complain about there.
