Daily reminder that you can still make it and there's examples of shitty artists who started with awful art in the industry and became successful even if they're technically trash.

Story, character design, composition, among other are skills that doesn't need strong technical skills.

Most faggots who focus only on technique end up doing the final work of the faggots who are "less good".

The industry cares more if you can be reliable than your skills drawing a leg.

ONE's stuff can be pretty good, his sense of speed and impact is great imo that's harder to get right then getting good at drawing.

creativity is linked to mental illness.

You can't train your height to be taller than your genetic potential, nor IQ.

creativity is genetic.

having said that all people who want to be artists score high already on creativity.
people with low creativity becomes accountant or bussiness managers.

you need to be from a schizo family, or bipolar family to score the highest in creativity.

no he has point studies have been done that link creativity with mental health. like they found out that most comedians though they tell jokes for a living they most of them are actually depressed.

we would not have neon genesis evangelion with it's director was not autistic and clinically depressed. and that is considered the most creative mecha anime ever.

>Cognitive neuroscientist Arne Dietrich points out that even the sparse data we have from scientific literature in support of a link between creativity and mental illness, based on anecdotes and case studies, is not of the standard that modern psychiatric research is based upon. We are long past the days of basing any medical understanding on such case reports.
By the third paragraph the article is already saying that its sketchy and subjective.

>>3730473
>The negation emerges from the equally crucial reality that few creative individuals can be considered truly mentally ill. Indeed, outright psychopathology usually inhibits rather than helps creative expression.

I find the notion that you have to have a mental ill to be creative as absurd as saying you can't be creative if you are mentally ill.

Remember when dealing with data, correlation ≠ causation.

people that want to draw on this shitty board already score higher than average on creativity.

the desire to make art is an indication of creativity.

people without creativity doesn't have a desire to make art not even can even enjoy art.

retard.

some professions like being lawyers or accountants are filled with uncreative people.

Not denying that.
There are people here who do not suffer from mental illness.
There are also people who have mental illness that aren't creative.
So what exactly are you trying to say?

based on experience with some people who while smart, are absolute retards when it comes to any kind of creative thinking, its an easy thing to believe.

But really pursued interest breeds growth of any mindset, and an interest in creativity that is pursued, WILL grow, the person will stumble across the circumstances that facilitate creativities growth if they take it seriously enough (not including hobby-tarding for years)

>> No.3731541

Nani the fuck?

Do people consider the ability to make poems, write literature, tell jokes, etc. to have a schizoid element?

"Creativity" is literally just reordering your experiences ( in the case of drawing, visual library) into something fresh (not always new). I will agree that some of it is instinctual, but I have a hard time believing that "creativity" is some magical power granted to you by the Gods of Madness.
