This video single-handedly taught me how to do side-view heads in 6 seconds or something, it's the single most valuable piece of art media I've consumed.

Lmao. I don't need to be spoon-fed. I've been coming here for 7 years and already have a job in the industry. Please try and be less full of yourself. Surely there is value in copying work, but havkng a good understanding of the artists intent from the get go is nice as well. All I'm saying is that most of the pictures you are dumping cover obscure shorthand techniques unique to the artist that drew them or are oversimplifications of more standard techniques that have comments not in english that explain what the hell is going on.

I don't need to copy any of these.

I am trying to encourage people to draw, what this board is for. Just because the text is in a different language doesn't mean that the information inside it cant be useful. I am not full of myself, you are coming across as a negative nancy.

Some of these pictures can be used for studies and advancing your knowledge, I don't get what is so wrong with I am doing, you provided no tutorials, no works of your own, just some negative bullshit. If only one person tries to redraw what they found here and gains something from it then my actions are justified.

This gets thrown around a lot, but the truth is I have zero reason to prove shit to you. And I'm not a negative Nancy. I'm saying that your comments such as
>practice practice anon
>do you need me to spoon-feed you?
>open your eyes, try to redraw what is emphasized and see what is wrong with your own works
do actually make you sound like you are full of yourself for copying a torso spread that shows the subtle differences between the obliques men and womnen. Wow, what a revelation. Who knew?

It's great that you feel you are encouraging people to draw, but all I'm saying is that providing tutorials in English on an English speaking image board might be more useful to people. Feel free to disagree, but again, I'm not going to post my work. I didn't say your own work was shit. Stop being defensive.

there is more than one language in the world but your demented anglo worldview thinks that everything everywhere should be in english and that everyone should just know it, to accommodate your narrow beliefs. a pro with 7 years of lurking and well established in the industry? yeah I don't think so, an experienced guy would see the effort as positive.

I tried to be positive and encouraging but you acted so salty about everything (no english instructions, no walk-through) that I had to be defensive and offensive. What I posted is a smattering of different views and techniques and processes, I even posted a few youtube tutorials but okay.. why are you even here then if you are so reluctant of learning and studying and sketching different things, from different people, with different techniques and views? A lot of the stuff that I posted can be applied to your own works, it's not just pure copying, and even if it were, information done through it can be useful

Get fucked dude. You completely missed the point of my original post and refuse to be reasonable. I've even copied ebi's work in the past, which is one of the guys you posted, but you have zero idea how to think about anyone but yourself.
>I tried to be positive and encouraging
Why are you so hell-bent on assuming that I need you to be positive and encouraging for me to draw? I draw on my own accord because my work requires me to.
I said nothing about the YouTube videos because they're great. Everything else you posted was also aesthetically pleasing, including the original stuff you posted that wasn't in English. Just don't pretend like you understand what the artist is trying to communicate by copying their work. I'm out.

I’m not that anon, but if you can’t tell what an artist is conveying or even really thinking, process wise, when looking at one of their drawings, it’s highly likely that youre either not very good, LARPing about being an industry “pro,” or you simply don’t draw at all. You certainly aren’t fluent in the language of visual arts, and that’s been clear from your posts.

lol you're just defending sacred books without thinking.
Firstly, where do you think some of those tutorial learned?
Secondly, does the medium invalidate all form of knowledge? If it works, it works.
And also you're packing every tutorial like they're by one person and all of the same value.
Seriously, ask yourself why you're so mad about this, I mean it.

ignore him, just based on his snowflake logic he's probably some autistic underage faggot. How out of touch must you be to get assblasted over a fuckin chinese tutorial doodle, demanding it to be in a language that you can understand.. either learn the language, or do what every remotely sane person does in that situation, turn on your brain and analyze.

Like if you can't even absorb a sliver of knowledge through observation, then no tutorial will help you, in any language whatsoever.

lol this might be the worst tutorial thread ever. they're not even infographics but artist studies for the most part.

The thirds trick is actually something I forgot. good work on this

steve huston's book, a bit of hampton too. bridgman is great but you need to know the anatomy to get what he's trying to represent or say. it's probably not good to learn from it at the beginning. i think huston provides a more solid constructive and gestural method but you want to learn from a lot of different sources.

Might sound obvious, but keep in mind : just saving these & looking at it "later" definitely won't help you as much as trying to use them yourself.

this. as much as people love hoarding books they love hoarding useless "tutorials" and "infographics" that don't actually have anything to take away from them since they didn't do the study themselves and that they won't ever draw.

>>3725730
No it's fucking terrible. It might be inspirational to really /beg/ artists but it's overcomplicating everything about art. You read the chart, now what do you do?

When you're drawing you're going to be touching on most of those anyway, there's no need to arbitrarily divide them. When you find a place where you know you're weak you'll do studies on that. The chart preys on people who need shit to be like an RPG, so they think there's actually a path to drawing like Nsio with a few simple steps. The focus topics are legitimate things to think about but straight mileage and learning to critique your own work (training your eye to "see" better art) are what gets you better.

The mastery levels are bullshit. Mastery just means you'll consistently produce better art instead of getting "lucky" once every few times. Draw a lot, fail fast, take your time. Study actual anatomy and perspective books, draw gesture, draw art you like, study/make copies of artists you like. >>3723521 is a good list of resources. You need the fundamentals to build on top of. You need to be able to draw what you see so that you can put it on paper. You need to be able to make the mark that you see in your brain on the paper and then you will be well on your way to getting good. See what you want to draw, imagine the line in your head, and then transfer your head to paper. Eventually it becomes effortless. It is very hard before that point so that's why we practice with measuring and using our eyes to copy.

I hope you guys don't follow those.

Don't know if it's common knowledge around here but just a friendly reminder: these step by steps are the result of other people's thinking, there's no guarantee they will work for you.
You're not going to learn much from their interpretation of reality if you have no understanding of it yourself.
Same goes for studies, especially if you're starting out.

Problem solve yourself.Paint how you paint, - don't replace what you do with what some schmucks say.
Rather take what you like from other artists and add that to what you're already doing.

yeah, read actual books or watch hour+ long videos that these "tutorials" are poor imitations for.
