But. I like the underdog artist. Often you have more fun making your stuff and it shows through in your case. That's what I hope my art will feel like to someone someday.

Jefferson traces his work. He's been doing that for over two years now, and hasn't improved in the slightest, that's why he dons the same face syndrome every amateur does in this thread. Don't take his anatomy and perspective into account thinking he's a good artist, the proof of his real work is in the same expressions and pillow shading he's been called out for in this thread for the last few of them.

This entire thread is nothing more than a circlejerk of degenerates who have no idea how to create appealing adult works. They're garbage amateur smut artists, and nothing more. They only thing they neglect to showcase in this thread is their abhorrent amount of tracing off of their reference material just so they can come off as "imaginative" and, "original".

I disagree. He's shown considerable improvement over the last couple of months and his piece with the tentacles girl is promising. Even his background work has shown a big leap with his improvements in detail and form. His color choices are also getting a lot better. His beach scene, that piece with the horned girl and elf, and the one with that winged blonde and redhead with the bare ass are great. His rendering of hair and drapery are consistently well done, almost like he's got a knack for the flow.

The main thing is contrast and he needs to tone it down. Since he is self-taught, I advise him to use more reference when working out the shading. As he is someone inclined towards realism and detail, he isn't doing it enough.

Another thing I wish he'd find is a mentor. Someone to help bring out his talents and coach him.

In short I agree with the criticisms, but to say he has not improved his coloring is dishonest.

Is this about Hardstones or me? Because if me, then yes, I don't draw. I have always loved erotic art since I stumbled upon the old Mandy illustrations my ex-girlfriend had.

I was browsing the drawthreads, really liking how much stuff had improved since a month ago, and noticed Hardstones' stuff.

His anatomy and perspective are really well done. The construction is solid, and he's made a lot of improvements with his background and coloring work. Given he's making it with successes in selling book covers to game art, looking over his Tumblr, he's got a lot of potential.

I wish he'd do more animation, though...the ones with the hijabis were superb!
