Thinking about buying an ipad and a pen only for this program because i feel more comfortable actually looking at my hand when im drawing but still want to do digital, Anyone with an experience with it?

>> No.3659324

That's cool an all, tho training your hand and co-ordination to adapt will probs help train you and improve skill for normal drawing. And iPads are hella expensive :o

I can buy an ipad now, i never spend my money on expensive things so i can do it once.
Idk ive used a wacom tablet for maybe 4 years but it still feels wonky compared to paper.

If you do buy it wait until the new ones are out. They are announcing them on the 30th. Personally I'd rather have a cintiq pro I think. It's not portable but you don't have to worry about a degrading battery or planned obsolescence through software updates and other Apple fuckery.

saved up for an ipad a while ago, and it was my first time doing actual digital art.

IMO its really good for learning and beginners, and with photoshop and stuff coming to it it might be more viable for profesional drawing.

If u got the money2spare, id say go for it. Its a pretty nice program, plus u have an ipad, which is pretty awesome aswell.

>pic related, drew it on procreate.

do ipads go on sale on Black Fiday?
I really want an ipad, bit not sure if i should bite the bullet now or wait for a sale? Do ipads go on sale around this time? will the newly announced ipads affect the price and availability of older models?

I have an iPad 2018 and as a casual is it worth picking up an Apple Pencil and drawing on it? Obviously a pro is better but as a noob will it really make a difference?

Yes, the parallax will only affect you if youre a spoiled ipad profag, it's really not that bad or noticeable at all especially if you've only used the 6th gen ipad

I recommend you watch brad colbow's review on the ipad 6 and apple pen from an artist's pov

Yes it looks like the 2nd gen pro (10.5 inch) seems to have gotten a price cut to 650. Pretty sure it used to be more. Also stores are basically discounting them because they need to get rid of stock for the new models.

I'm not sure if there'll be black friday deals specifically but I wouldn't be surprised if some stores did.
>>3663299
I didn't notice the parallax in stores, even though I use a pro. It should be fine to use, I hear a lot of people like them especially at the cheaper price.

I paid that much to get one secondhand on the Apple store earlier this year, same specs as that one too. Personally I love drawing on the iPad after I downlaoded some decent Procreate brushes, and I also use an app called Inkpad for vector work
