Hell if I know. I tried the wake up early technique for months and all that results in is increased sleep paralysis to the point where my sleep demons have figured out that calling out to Jesus doesn't work anymore or sleeping on my stomach or keeping my eyes shut when I know I've become self aware in the dream which triggers it when I wake up.

The best thing you can probably try is immediately make coffee and start drawing before anything else. Make it too priority like other anon said.

My dream Is to make a Game, Manga and Visual Novel. Unfortunately the area I was born didnt really foster too much in the way of creativity. That's something you gotta figure out for yourself really. Go on places like pinterest, insta etc and try to follow as many as artists as you like to expose yourself to as many ideas as possible. Maybe you can think of building your style as "solving a problem". Maybe you really like american superhero style comics but there's one thing you can't stand about it that throws you off. Same idea for manga/anime. Take what you like and throw out whatever you think is garbage. Doing this enough over time you'll end up with something very personal to yourself.

It's a start regardless! Giving yourself some inspiration that's really up there will be a great benchmark to test yourself/ your improvement against. Don't worry too much about age, honestly. I started when I was 5 yrs old but didn't take it seriously till I was 20. The years in between that really meant nothing because it was just "drawing for fun". As an adult you have the advantage of having a much more driven/ mature approach to your learning and will pump out results way faster than your kid self. It really does not take long to learn if you're serious about it.

That's up to you. Layer modes are much easier and faster. Learning how to put the right color down the first time is obviously difficult, but it gives you greater flexibility. Pros will use either or both, it just depends how they prefer to work.

This guy is something I've been working on and off on for maybe two years now. I had a load of reference sheets and stuff for him and the surrounding stories but it all got destroyed. Since then I've come a long way and I hope to get started soon.

Don't take this the wrong way anon but for two years in gestation, the design itself is rather plain. The hair is DBZ style, I see he wears a suit (can't tell if a necktie too or is just a shirt) and I'm guessing the usual business shoes? And sunglasses. Then his fist is lit up but it is fire or electricity? I really can't tell that well, I feel it's more fire.
So, put all that together, you have the usual tough guy contemporary looks (suit/sunglasses) and spiky hair with a fire fist. I just don't see why not maybe making more interesting choices for the design if you had being thinking about it for two years? Maybe some interesting patterns for the clothing or customize the clothing to reinforce what he does or what are his skills? Make the hairstyle more personal also.

The perspective doesn't really do the hair justice much, and without context none of it really makes any sense. The whole idea is that he's literally "just a guy". In my more detailed works his suit had more details (for instance his waistcoat had art-deco style floral patterns on it) and he has a pocket watch.
You were half right on the hand part, it is in fact electricity but I just half assed the lines for this sketch, when I finish it off it'll be much more evident as to what it is.
Pic related is what I originally drew the hair as, it was more "floofy" i suppose you could say and followed a more distinct curve.
The story is about two ordinary guys who go exploring on vacation and get wrapped up in something much larger than them. As time goes on, they change to reflect that.

Sorry anon, I like it but I just can't understand how the far leg ended up like that, The interrogation mark is where I think you have the knee, and I did a bit of an estimation based on the leg coming up close, correcting a bit the angling, and I just can't justify it. I placed a cutout ellipse to estimate where the far away knee would fall maybe depending on how much you open the leg. Did you use reference? I maybe be off but it's really bugging me out. Love the upper body and face.

I really like it, even like that. Well composition wise one can argue that it would be unbalanced but I dunno, I like the empty space oh the other side because it really draws you to the character having all the elements there.
Hmm, colors, tough to say, either you calibrate and check yourself it looks as you intended or anyone won't be able to tell. Heck, even if you do that someone might have their monitor badly calibrated and it will look like shit in theirs ha ha. Never trust blindly what others tell you about the colors they see on their monitors. Just in case.
You can try to check it on your phone or a friends if they can help you out. Printing is usually the only way to get a reasonable common ground.

Looks reallly good. Only things I noticed was that the character's feet dont feel grounded for some reason. Maybe the shadows or the perspective of the feet/leggings needs some tweaking, or maybe change the style of them. Those bushes also all having the save colors make it look a bit flat.

I don't think that's why they standout. It's because the blackest blacks are her socks, and that really draws the eyes the same way it would if they were the brightest brights. Socks need to be toned down first, and then maybe add some detail like a pattern or stripes or something.

Also if there's a problem overall it's that the ground looks slanted, instead of flat. It makes everything else seem off.

Hmm, I'm not OP artist but if you want to make those changes you should do them and post redlines or paintovers to show how you envision it would look like.
I would personally love to see how it changes the results.
Nonetheless, my opinion is that socks being that dark is fine since it's the main character, is supposed to stand out. Patterns or strips would be fun. Slanting floor looks fine to me because outdoors you see plenty of offroads that slant or don't follow perfectly flat, have bumps, I think it's charming.
I do think, you could use extra darker values for the stump and the sole of the feet to get better contact on the ground. So I added some idea of what I mean.

i wouldn't say they're flat... well, at least one of them isn't, lol. okay seriously tho, it is maybe a teeensy bit flat, the tangent between the headshape/chin area of the left one and her bossom being a big culprit, but it's mostly the perspective being a bit off between the two individuals, not to mention proportionally, assuming both their backs/spines are laying at the same angle/level of flatness, the big girl's torso is roughly the same length as the smaller one. i think maybe removing her boobies from the drawing for the time being would (ironically) help with getting the perspective more in sync with the other. i'd also relax the hands a bit more and have them also more in perspective, along with messing with the arms a bit, also don't be afraid to use the clothing to help sell the shape in your linework, complex designs can really betray the form if you're not being suuuuper crazy careful with all the curves an shiz. apologies for super shitty mspaint mouse edit, but i hope it helps at least a bit with the words maybe hahasdf, basically overlap is your friend!!

I'm not the greatest at editing stuff but gave it a quick shot.
The ground is too slanted it almost feels like its drooping off the page, i tried to fix it with a liquify tool but ended up making it wavy but i hope you get what i was after.
The picture is quite flat with no apparent light source, so adding a moon and some darkness around the forest gives it bit more depth and since there is now light source you can add some harder shadows.
Added some little orange high lights to the characters clothing, to give some interaction with the candle.
It's pretty quick and messy but i hope it you get what i'm trying to point out.

My main problem isn't with your palette, but with your values and where the light's coming from. I get the impression of a light coming from the top left, but you seem to be afraid to pinpoint it there. While I see a cast shadow on the grass I don't see any on the characters, which could really help sell how close they are. Also, the girl's eyes are odd. I think the further eye is too large horizontally and so doesn't give off the impression of wrapping around the head.

Well, if that's the case then it's what I call, stumbling in the dark, see if you get lucky and find the keys. It's just easier to know where the keys are. So, study the things you can't create a mental image clearly, and you will get better lines just because you will know how they look and how to place them.

Th other thing would be the face. Overall I say you did well, just wrap it up and move on to the next one, do recommend you try doing studies and stuff, it will help you greatly

The character has an appealing face and the body doesn't let out serious issues, maybe comoile a bunch of your drawings and I could tell you where you make mistakes?

Regardless of that, I think it all depends on wether or not you feel like you need to improve, in which case all you have to do is begin doing studies of real life, figure drawing daily is the most helpful exercise you can do

Work on solid black and white before color, fundies are fucked, color is a mess cause you don't get lighting and volumes yet.
You could still color but don't spend a lot time doing it if the rest is wrong. You should be able to color roughly and quickly for a better result than this anyway, when you'll get your basics right
