Admittedly I've gotten shat on before, on other sites, but in those cases the person just has it out for me. Also, when someone has it out for you, it's fairly obvious, imo. It was a peaceful 2 weeks (atleast for /ic/ standards) without seeing his paintings anymore. But I guess that all had to come to an end. I fundamentally don't believe I'm above anything, and I fucking hate myself. I'll never think I'm smart. I'm embarrassed by how I got high scores in intelligence tests (administered by my clinical psychologist parents). I think being told I was smart when I was like 8 was awful for me. Combined with the American Exceptionalism education I got I spent my first 2 decades obsessed with the idea of "what does it mean to be a genius." And I fucking hate myself for it now. I'll never not suspect that my parents were lying.

That all said, I readily acknowledge that I act like a sniveling defensive kid quite a bit. I regret almost everything I say on this board. I regret almost everything I say anywhere. I just found that when I make an asshole of myself it makes it easier to flee into working. My connection to artistic production has always been connected to being abused. This cringey shit gets me going. I embarrass myself and act like an asshole and feel terrible about it and then retreat to obsessively painting about and away from that shit. It's never meant to be actually personal. I just say the blanket shit that generally affects anyone and then hate myself about it. I'm legitimately sorry about how some of the anons here unironically hate me (probably reasonably) for things I said to them when they were anon. I never really mean for (you) to take it personally.
