he's pretty proficient technically but jesus christ his original concept pieces look like trash, they're just so soulless. I'm sure if he continues grinding he'll eventually have a visual library large enough to start producing interesting original stuff but at the moment he really lacks any artistic personality apart from having good fundamentals.

Call me a crab but Peter Han's stuff is not that dynamic, or good. He's basically competent but his drawings are aggressively boring, often drowned in a sea of muddled detail before any novel lines or shapes can shine through. There are people on /ic/ (mainly in the self-promo and draw threads) who legitimately draw better than him. There are people on social media with a fraction of his followers who are way, way better, pic related. But that's often how it goes.

I could be completely wrong, but I feel like I have observed this pattern for a while. My suspicion is that the whole dynamic sketching thing is more sexy and appealing than the more strict study of formal perspective and a lot of artists might feel like they can skip the boring perspective study stuff and just jump straight into eyeballing stuff.
