Yes, I’m a member on a superb forum fileld with people getting jobs in the industry at an alarming rate.
Within that community you get good feedback from pro’s looking to pair you up with companies and get you good enough.
There are even regular talks available.

Did conceptart.org just have concept artists or did it include people going for other fields? Regardless it seems like most of the eggs were put in one basket for art forums. After conceptart.org it went down in quality the other art forums died off over time too.

I've been pretty much completely isolated ever since ca.org went down. I came in early enough to reap the benefits, and I started to make a living shortly after the shutdown, but I'm now working on quitting art as a job. Yeah, I get paid to draw, cool, but I'm thinking about killing myself on a daily basis because I have zero people in my life - I don't even have family anymore. /ic/ and other imageboards are literally the only form of human interaction I had for years now. I'm aiming to quit by spring next year, I already applied to redo my Abitur so I can study another profession before I turn too old. I might just kill myself anyway, I hardly have any drive to this but at the same time I have even less to motivate myself to sit alone, all day, all night in front of a screen.

Anyway, I bought into the lies of Jason Manley and look where it's gotten me. I'm a pro, yeah, but at what cost? The amounf ot time I needed to invest to become any good ruined my life. The dream that fucker sold me is a nightmare.
