Loomis really isn't a formalized method. He's a teacher for best practices. He was a mid-tier illustrator during America's Golden Age of Illustration who just teaches stuff that was taught in every art school before they became jack-off parties for rich kids who don't give a shit.

Anyone who shits on Loomis is wrong.

I agree with what you said. Problem is constructive anatomy is shit and so is the other books.the only reason you get it is if you want a few more pages that complete guide to drawing from life doesn't have in it. get complete guide to drawing from life if you want a great book
