It’s fine but it’s not as easy as you think to integrate and have it look cohesive. You still need a solid foundation to do this. I've recently started using a program to to basically what you would do with a small articulate mannequin. Why bother with a mannequin if we have 3d ? It's very helpful to visualize a complex pose and complex angle, especially if you're going for both at the same time, and if you're not doing it that way you have to do it some other way like looking at references or looking at yourself in the mirror or something. The act of drawing something is not the same as the act of imagining something, you don't use the same tools
