There was a cinematic version of this with some red looking dragon guy that became a meme way back when, anyone have it?

>> No.3599933

Bye. Art isn't for everybody and if you're giving up now, at the very beginning, then it's not meant to be. Move on.

>> No.3599944

>>3599933
Oh, not the beginning. It's been 8 years. Definitely time to move on.

Yeah they realize art is a stupid career

Leonardo da Vinci was a scientist first and artist second, most artists are too fucking brainlet to even get good at art. Get a STEM degree and you'll learn art faster than any "art major".

to be perfectly frank, if you actually spend 3 hours of serious targeted practice each day for 8 years straight this is slow progress.
I don't see a point in giving up now tho. I can see you learned a lot of things. the image would actually look neat if the colors would pop a bit more and if it was just a bit more refined.
maybe someone with more experience could tell you more.

5 years deliberate practice you should be able to do more interesting things than a portrait from a reference

>> No.3601067

that really begs the question, what did he do over those 8 years?

>> No.3601068

I feel the same, man. Practice for years but never really see much improvement which in turn keeps me from enjoying it. Doesn't help that I've got horribly shaky hands so I can't control my motions for shit.
