This. Basically the mindset "If I grind enough instead of just drawing I'll make it" is the NGMI flagship.

I'm actually happy that I found this place. Because if I didn't I would probably still listen to those youtube fags. Thanks to /ic I realised that I don't wanna fake it 'till I feel like I know what I'm doing. I wanna understand how things are built and how to build them. Also as a poorfag I really appreciate being able to read all those great artbooks. So yeah, /ic isn't half as bad.

You don't need to learn with them.
The sticky is the most valuable resource out there, if you can't work on your own after all those resourses, you must be a tard.

Not everyone browses this shithole board and wastes time shitposting instead of drawing as much as you do.

/ic/ has it's ups and downs.
In terms of resources and guides it's well stocked and sorted, plus there are some genuinely good artists on here, but their very rare.
On the downside, this place is probably the worst for criticism, not that everybody should be kissing ass, but a lot Of The people here either don't know what their talking about, don't have a resume of their own work easily available making their input impact less OR are insecure so feel the need to drag people who are genuinely trying down, to make themselves feel better for either not practising or progressing as much as they'd like/should.

it's actually quite hard to get genuinely helpful feedback, at least with tumblr or reddit your able to see the level at which the people commenting on your work are operating at, making them better for that stuff.
