Legs twice the length of the torso (more or less) is the classic proportion in chinese cartoons. Often times the lower half of the legs are longer than the top half.

Drew a Rex Robot applying this stuff from a Japanese book called "How to draw manga: Robots"

You don't have to try to buy it via amazon japan because I bought it via american amazon:

Its pretty legit and even though it's in japanese you can apply the practices within it to better your work because I sure as hell know its working for me. It teaches you basic design principles, the ins and outs of all the different styles of mecha, and actual technical drawing techniques to use. its even detailed to the point where you can download a separate printout PDF to make a paper craft model so you can figure out perspectives.

As for your actual robot I like the fact it's so short.

Replace wrist saw with fusion arc torch.
Install green lasers in shoulder turrets (fire with the "pickle" on the right palm).

Be sure that all of its joints can move properly.
Feel free to show some sexy machinery behind the armor plates.
Think over its equipment, size and role in combat.
Play mechwarrior. Build model kits.

heads increase in size slower than the rest of the body

in other words for a car sized mech heads look bigger relative to body size compared to ones several stories tall
