>Unusual sleep time
>Art is shit
Wow, like pottery.
Sleep like a normal person and draw when you feel like it.

>> No.3553162

my sleep schedule is fucked so I don't have a drawing schedule I just make sure to do at least 3 hours a day with 1 of those being focused studies. that's my bare minimum I allow myself.

I draw when i feel like it, schedules are for work not for my hobby otherwise it would just become a pain in the ass.

>> No.3553271

If you use fixed schedule for drawing, you don't have to use as much willpower to start practising, and can use more to stay focused.

go to work from 8-11am cleaning at microsoft store
come home at 1pm, fuck about on pc until 3pm
sit in bed with ipad and practice fundies for the rest of the day occasionally taking micro breaks to change music, watch streams. i don't stop until like 9pm, or 12 am usually but sometimes i fuck off for an hour or two to play league with friends. i have a set routine of fundies i do so i'm not mindlessly drawing bullshit the entire time (2 weeks of gestures/anatomy, 2 weeks of loomis, 2 weeks of color/composition, 1 week mixed rinse and repeat. i'm kind of beg but i find having a set schedule really helps with improvement

It's important to have a serious holiday where you take time to re-evaluate your life
I've only done it twice so far but it's been the source of my greatest inspirations for what to do in my life. It's like a mini-temporary retirement to look forward to

"Schedule" implies I do anything other than draw. I wake up. I eat. I draw. I eat whenever I get hungry. I go to bed. Repeat 7*52

I literally quit the internet and it helped me greatly to find much more time to draw. I live like it's the earlier 2000s, I only play games from the 2005s to lower, I read more books now, I don't go on social media, etc. I do use the net for max 1 hour a day, to check out pinterest for fashion to reference or get inspo from. It also improved my attention span in general so drawing for a longer of period time is much easier to achieve since, like in the 2000s if you had no friends, there's nothing to do. You have too much free time. Would recommend but if you aren't a nostalgia fag like me, it'd probably be hard. At least reducing social media/YouTube to less than an hour per day helps and generally helped me get rid of being depressed all the time.

This is my schedule, except replace any actual drawing with playing video games and thinking the entire time about how I should probably be drawing.

I did draw once or twice last week though.

>> No.3554441

>monday, tuesday, Wednesday
Finalizing some drawings or sketching a little if I already finalized everything.
>thursday and Friday
Study my weekely theme
>weekend
more serious drawings who will be finalized in the next week

I don't draw everyday because some times that's impossible or just not fun,but I try to draw at least 21 hours per week., most of the times half of my time drawing peer week comes from weekendsI'm trying slowly increase this number to 30 hours peer week, but it's easier said than done.

8am-11am/12pm is all drawing while listening to my usual roster of news and podcasts, the rest of the day is reading and studying and I might watch videos at night or do more drawing from 7pm onwards.

I get up at 3-4 pm (though I was on vacations this will end in a week) and once I'm tired of playing videogames and everyone else goes to sleep around 10 pm so I have mental peace, I can finally start drawing. But I don't. Not yet. I keep playing vidya while reading old /ic/ threads and the current ones, bathing myself in knowledge and also reading a lot of Quora posts about how to get better at drawing and stuff and looking at tutorials...

Finally I get motivated around 3 pm and pick up my notebook and a pen, go to Quickposes and start trying to do gesture drawing or whatever. I do a few of those sessions and I end up feeling it's worthless so I decide to copy the poses with as much detail as possible to have something to post on Facebook and see some praise once I wake up. I end up finishing my drawing at 5-6 am.

So... like 3 hours of drawing after I'm absolutely tired of everything else. I like to think I'm a dedicated artist.
