The 24 hour timer resets at 10 am in my timezone, where I live I did it all in one session but I can understand that being seen as cheap. I intended to take a photo and use it as a background from the beginning to kinda experiment with mix media but as I finished my line art I was a couple minutes away from killing my streak so I submitted the progress so far and then I thickened the outlines and added the background for the final thing.
I also did some shading after the final submission but didn't want to spam the submition page.
I've still got time to make up for it and pump something out before it reaches 00:00:00 which I might do.

I actually agree with everything he said. Get Robertson books from the art book thread that's always up and learn some perspective tricks. It's intimidating so people avoid it but I think everyone should focus on what they're bad at. I'm trying to implement storytelling in my work atm, for example.

any video game style [we can narrow down to X styles]

Production:
2 moodboards (video game/illustration inspiration, design/lighting/material references. It's important, you will have to stick to it till the end, if you change your minds update or do another batch of moodboards)
5 characters sheets with clothing/accessories/weapons/move set, whatever is needed to understand your character, according to your game genre (i.e. 1 hero, 1 sidekick, 1 foe, 1 boss, 1 merchant for a RPG, or 5 champions for a fighting game)
3 environments sheets (1 overview, 1 closeup, 1 environment elements)
2 in game shots (all your characters must appear on at least 1 of the two shots. Mandatory /gd/, i.e. life gauge -yes, you can draw three hearts)
1 splashes (1 character presentation)
Everything above is due on a 3840*2160px format
1 cover (vertical, format at your discretion)

I have to say, though, I'm kinda enjoying this thing being random. I've been fucked many times because I couldn't opt for my next move and bad things just keep happening to me, but still...
I know I have no chance of being competitive in this, I upload every other day and never more than one submission, but I enjoy that passive game as some sort of a visual representation of everyone's submissions. Even dads who don't look at the site are participating in a sense.

I feel if it was an active game, lots of dads would be eliminated too quickly, specially new dads who just joined the site.
Then again, what is your goal with this site? Is it supposed to be a game with a winner each "session", or is it an idle game that goes on forever?
