No, I'm saying I suck fat fucking cock at drawing and am trying to do that exercise where you go over the same line x8 times, but I can't see my god damn shit because my big-ass hand is in the way. And, I can't imagine this wouldn't be a problem in drawing at large. Seeing where you're drawing seems kind of important, especially for small details, but I CAN'T see unless I slide to the side and nearly slam my dopey head into the table.

As another person who holds the pencil in their fucking hand and has never had this issue, it's very difficult to picture what you're doing to fuck up so royally. Rotate the paper like other anons have said, reassess if your grip is as retarded as I think it is, and have more spatial awareness than a fucking child so you're not completely lost the second your hand obscures some of the lines you're making.

I'm holding the pen vertically, as is necessary and only used "pencil" to relate it to what you said. If I just rotate the paper every time there's a problem, I will literally never learn to draw from left to right, only at harsh upper angles. Or I could lean down and fuck up my back.

If I'm following a very thin, delicate, long line, or curve, or wave, or whatever- that doesn't take spatial awareness, that takes fucking eyeballs.

u could try going digital and using a standard tablet. One of the advantages of doing that is no hand in the way. Other way you could do it is to draw using a palmed pencil with an long sharpened tip (pic related). Drawing like you write can be limiting.
