Yeah so I have an eating disorder and all I draw is food I’m currently craving

Been trying to draw things other than nude woman and floating torsos for a little while now, I'm really having fun.
Though I often make pretty big proportional mistakes that I only notice afterwards.

This drawing/study I was quite satisfied with, I notice some errors and things I feel like I should've done differently but overall it turned out more-or-less like I hoped. It posed multiple challenges to me but it was fun. Drawing on toned paper is really great too and I recommend it to everyone who has not tried it yet.

I dig it. My guess is you need a better monitor,I tried correct it a bit.The again ,you might have wanted muted tones,I don't know.Her head is also off center.
keep in mind the neck matches the 2 ears,(this from a frontal pov).so in the pose she's in,we shouldn't be seeing the same amount of ear on both sides of her head.
I specially like the shadows on her legs,been trying to do that myself.I'll share a tutorial with you on my next post

You're trying to execute and finish a piece that is too ambitious in terms of construction, anatomy and shading. Your current skill level is symbol drawing, and the only way to improve is through deliberate study and consistency. If you don't have a clue about where to start, the sticky can be helpful.

Shit will require discipline, because you will lack the skill to draw what you want until you reach a certain skill level, which will take time. Try to keep it fun.

1. the head is really small. its actually funny how small it is.
2. the raised arm tapers off way too hard and it looks like his wrist is about to break off. you dont seem to have the same issue with the lowered arm however.
3. chicken scratch lines. stop doing those.
4. that sword in his mouth is the only thing with forced perspective in the entire image, it looks a tad bit out of place. either have everything in a forced perspective, or none of it.
you just have to work on your proportions and practice your line work so you can start making larger, more confident strokes. once you get that down you will start going places.

I wish I had the work ethic to stick with a medium for a decent period of time, but my attention span is about two days long and immediately after I drew this I turned my attention to plush toys, made a pair of foxes with articulated skeletons so they can be posed, and now I'm back at writing.

I took a note from a friend and started with an underpainting. This isn't the best example of what one should look like, but i laid the blacks and purples over this without pressing down too hard on my stylus. After that, it's all clean-up work, because everything I need is on the canvas already
I know what colors I DONT want more than the ones I do. From lots of trial and error. I also know I like to make things look like they "glow", which is why the back of the dress and her hair are much lighter than everything else.

I'm still learning myself, but I recommend paying attention to color compositions that strike your attention, studying drapery/anatomy, and just painting a lot in general.
