Trying to do a series of drawings to test consistency of character, style and proportions. How does one ensure such things? This is a video game character so it's easy to keep her character consistent; my style doesn't change much, so the only real question is how to ensure proportions are on point with the other drawings; I'm just using my eyes atm.

Here's some things I notice
-Neck way too long
-Foreshortening on both feet is incorrect
-Crease between calf muscle and thigh of raised leg does not show proper form of calf & causes flatness
-Ears/antennae not correctly aligned in perspective. Right one needs to be moved left and higher. left one needs to move left and align with the cheek & jawline.
-Fingers not laying on and wrapping over top of knee correctly.

If I had more time to spare I'd do a redline or something but suffice it to say the feet are drawn incorrectly. For one thing they both are bent upward too much at the ankle, making an odd angle between the top of the foot and shins. It looks unnatural. The best I can do right now is to tell you to try and find some comparable reference or hope someone else has a chance to redline it.

You may be able to position your body that way but whether or not the body is capable of being in a pose isn't the only or even most important factor. In such a reclined and overall relaxed pose most people would not be flexing their feet to the maximum to bend them up towards their knees like that. You want your gesture to be cohesive, all body parts should come together to convey the mood of the pose. Everything else is relaxed, the feet and hands should help convey and flow with that.

I haven't done anything traditional in a while. I think I actually raised my pen a couple off times to try to undo my line only to remember I'm not in Krita.

What I'm trying to say is that visually it's not giving the impression it should. Like I said, the literal sense of the pose being possible doesn't matter. What are you (in a general sense) trying to say with your image? What mood do you want it to have what emotion do you want it to capture? The character is just a component of expressing an idea, the same as color palette or brush strokes. Making it a character makes the idea more easily relatable to viewers since we all know and use facial expressions and gestures. Where color and strokes may be too abstract for some viewers to pick up on reading the mood of a character is near universal. That's why it's less important for the pose to be literal than to communicate effectively.

But this is sort of an abstract concept that stretches into the realm of subjective opinion, so if you don't agree that's fine. I just wanted to explain my reasoning clearly. Start with a big soft edged brush, press ligthly, make it like 10% smaller and press a lil bit more, and so on, then just erase to make the hard edge or to make the soft shadow into a cast-shadow

It looks like the meat of the foot stops a little short. You didn't really draw the toes yet so it's hard for me to tell what exactly you're planning for that area but right now if the toes were going to extend only as far as the line furthest to the right I would say the foot as a whole would be too short. It's also tilting downward a little too much making it out of perspective with the rest of the body.

Today we count removing hair to basic body hygiene, and theres no real difference to that and getting a haircut. You cant compare it to crippling ones feet.
Taking care of yourself to the highest degree possible is pretty much the biggest fad and probably will continue to be so. That includes being fit, being clean and shaving just like doing your hair etc. Now though the highest degree might get into the realm of obsession, people expect a bare mininmum, and that definitely includes no stomach hair on women.

Now breasts are also something different, as they are one of the most obvious parts of what makes females look female, however they are part of the body like your ears or your nose. So theres no removing those.
Removing your hair however counts towards body hygiene, its effort you put in to conform to the standart of beauty.
Big muscles and developed breasts are part of the standart of beauty. Hair on women (and to some extend on guys) does not.

The whole problem everyone here has with body hair is the same as anywhere else. If you dont want to conform to the standarts of beauty that is your thing and noone would care if you wouldnt lie. But then write " I like my women that way" or "I myself have hair like that and feel better when drawing women that are more similar to me". But not "A lot of women do" or " virgin" or " you are pedos thats why you dont like it".
Its ugly to most people. That is a fact, you have to accept that, if you wanna draw that, expect people to go "ew" and dont defend it like they are in the wrong for not liking it. If you feel personally attacked because thats how your body hair looks like, its sitll ugly and youll have to accept that most dont like it. Thats what it meants to not conform to societal norms

Yes, a cel shading with blur tool softening edges and blending effect. I actually looked around and found the answer I was looking for basically.

the one on the left is good, the wind in the hair justifies the huge fluffy skulls and hair you usually draw (in porportion to the face) idk if you start the head with a circle but that could really help you, with ear placement too. the necks are a bit small. and try some diffrent pose rather than butt out-back arch, references of women doing everyday things in real life could help make it more interesting
