It's hard to tell if it's good when I don't have it. This guy(Mitsuo Iso) is considered to be one of the best artists who have worked in the industry. I assume that at least the quality of his work is good enough. It's a collection of his keyframe drawings, spreadsheets etc., a pure showcase if you will. Nothing instructional.

It shows the coloring and traditional process of the artist too, some japanese reviewers were mad about it beacause a good chunk of the book isn't about perspective. I don't understand why the weebs are so Desperate for these type of books. If you reviewed the recommend books from the Sticky or even review things like say Proko's video series, this book is useless. The book is good for Japan since they don't have shit like New Master Academy or Schoolism which provides more insight on the subjects taught here and more.

I usually scan books here and there, but this one is a waste of time to scan. No one needs the book, we have an amazing library here already.

you can also watch moonmen draw and try to emulate them. everything they do is simply fundamentals applied very well

That's what I love about it. It has a ton of reference pictures that are separated by time period which makes it pretty convient compared to google searching everything. And has a degree of explaining what the designers were trying to emulate.

Capture2text kind of fails when the font used is a fancy script or when the characters are too low res from shitty scans. And google translate isn't always helpful even when capture2text does decide to work.

If you want to do it the best way you'd have to destroy the binding like >>3521480 said. Don't try to rip that shit out though. It'd be better to cleanly slice the binding off either by box cutter or electric saw. You can see people do it both ways on YouTube. Even if you didn't want to you'd still sort of fuck it up trying to ghetto it into the scanner.
