I used a ref for the light through water, but didn't really use one for the fabric. I couldn't figure out a way to get some to stay in that shape, and it shows at the bottom near the circle.
>>3498204
For the fabric texture /lightinh however, I just looked up some pics of fabric suspended on the wind on google, and then applied my imagination. Thats probably why I ended up re doing it a few times. Pic related is one of the earlier iterations.

honestly what's usually the case is I will bring a piece to the level of finish that my current level is, and then in three months or so I have about 30 paintings that I can actually finish properly.

looking at the landscape.

It's a mess. You have to think about how you lead the viewer's eyes. Group your image better based on value grouping. Think of the contours and feel the shape when you put down the brush strokes. That can help tell things apart. show how the wind have blown that grass with one set of strokes while that dirt path follows another set of strokes.

If you have problems with contours then I would point out that all great painters throughout history were also great draftsmen and that helped then a lot in their paintings and shows in their techniques.

If you listen to painters who have studied under the old masters you'll hear that in order to master any medium two of the things you need to be able to do is hard edges where you separate one color or value from another. Then you need to be able to do gradation for blending, form and lost edges, especially if you want to do realistic paintings.

It doesn't matter if it is digital or traditional, these rules still apply. Some traditional painters will mix different type of paint to achieve this while others will look to tools like wet sponges and so on. Then if you don't have all the colors available then it really becomes important that you understand color theory to compensate.

Looking at your stuff you should probably study impressionism.

actually I'll post this one too

>i am better than you so i dont really need to worry about it
you didn't need to "worry about it" anyway so it was weird that you felt the need to stress this in the first place. And what's it matter if you're better than everyone if all you do is act like a belligerent shrimpdicked asshole while painting faggy tree paintings that knock off shit that prople were doing 100 years ago? You got a Salieri complex or what?

>best part is you imagine yourself being famous
I mean I don't really care that much. anyone can be famous. but like, do "imagine yourself as famous" right now? With your tree paintings?
>but youll still be painting shitty memes
yeah probably. and you'll still be making hack scapes then?
>while i already have a following hahahha
How big is your following brah? You think I can fit your following in my mouth?

Yeah and it's past bump limit and I'm done with that thread and going back offline for a few weeks to start writing episodes so I'm getting it out now on your faggot threads where OP's massive following will read even if she can't.

So yeah OP is a slutty coward cocktease and he had this coming with his tryhard shit in my containment thread. And he didn't even have the balls or self-respect to talk shit with his art. Fuck that racket. Nigga needs to be embarrassed a little.

Don't act like a malignant toxic faggot spreading your shit for no reason than your own pathetic insecurities against people that aren't hurting you, while hiding behind anon and expect there never to be consequences that haunt you in your own faggot safe spaces is my point.

>Please don't kill this one by spamming your shitty paintings here too.
Shouldn't have given me a fucking reason bb

I don't care about being embarrassed. I thrive in it. idk if OP can say the same. Which is why his art is trash. You're all so obsessed with the muh fundamentals that you risk missing the forrest for the boring paintings of trees. what fucking year is it? what are you fucking doing OP?

And do you see how arguing for subversive memeschlock art in a "traditional" general is kind of a fucking autistic and thread killing thing to?
Yet you cucks have no issue coming to my fucking containment unit every time acting like belligerent anonymous faggots at me because I'm not interested in making art designed to appeal to 19th century art historians.

>They are hard on the eyes and bring simply nothing to the table other than it being marginally funny that you're making portraits of memes.
yeah I'm a clown. The muh fundamentals traditionalists keep trying to talk shit at me but my whole bit I'm working on is that of a belligerent demon clown. What's known as a berserksklovn in Danish maybe.
>You seem to be the incarnation of le ironic millenial artist, what exactly is your function?
I'm racing Van Gogh in total number of paintings produced in less amount of time. I'm currently in the peasant painting period which is all solicited from anons on /tv/ mostly and argued about on /ic/ because spite and obsessiveness and weird childish antagonistic masochism is part of it.

Plus I'm also shooting footage of the process starting at #17 and it keeps spiraling out through time for years as one continuous stream of conscious impulse that will eventually be edited into a spearmintel film that includes ranting vo commentary and historical and personal context as I devolve from trying to be a wholesome autistic youtube meme painter into a berserksklovn monster that lives in a bunker ranting about how subversive messaging strategy is destroying how people understand what thinking is. It's all a bit of a fun little goofy gag I'm doing for the How to paint Trump episode. Been in production since January 2017.

Here's most of the timelapse footage of the process chronically edited into an hour long fucking music video featuring the groovy tunes of your favorite hipster bands like LCD soundsystem and Arcade Fire and MGMT and shit like that because go fuck yourself. https://youtu.be/45GkUiuRmjM I like the last minute of it.

Kind just makes you look like a hypocrite while further illustrates the entire point of the project: that time is entropy, cosmically and existentially all effort will always be for nothing, and meaning should be found in the effort itself.

What medium are you using. Wet on wet can be tricky with any paint because you basically have to have the brush feeding paint at a rate to deposit it on top of the wet layer of the ground without allowing to brush to pick up any of the wet layer below. Its really easy to get a muddy mess, especially with oils. This is one of the spots where acrylic's quick drying can be an asset.

What I usually do is really load the brush up, and stop at intervals along the line to clean and reload the brush. I'm not great at it, but that seems to work for me.
