Sorry guys, I wanted to draw more today but I had a really long day at work and I am all burned up for today.

There's a little art event in my town tomorrow too, I read somewhere that they give you the opportunity to try out live model drawing, I hope I can go there (if I can get over my autism and anxiety and not chicken out)

I was a supermarket cashier for three-and-a-half years, anon. It helped pay for my college. Plus, it helps me fight ignorance when questions about food stamps come up on the Straight Dope.

If I worked too many 8-hour days back to back, my feet started to hurt, and I would have bad dreams about work at night. On the other hand, if you stick with it and do a job you would be proud of, you'll find that will likely make you an exceptional employee. The turnover rate was so high that the management really valued employees who didn't quit after their first week or *cough* *cough* call in sick all the time. I picked up a lot of extra hours when others slacked off.

I think the red and pink are a bit monotonous,
consider adding hue shifts and bringing in the sky's blue like you've done with the back of the horns.
Because of her size, would've been more interesting to have a higher or lower angle than straight on!

The leg mech look a little plain compared to the gun,
and her elbow is making a distractingly sharp point.

and I think you could play with the values differently to the reference
bc right now the candle light is the more or less the only distinct one.
Maybe have a desaturation adjustment layer and keep checking if it reads well.
That said, I like the atmosphere!

I can't really explain with just words, but try keep an eye for the natural rhythms of the wrist bend,
and how the finger tips converge a little towards each other when bent, rather than simply straight.
I dig way you drew the head, but the far horn placement is a bit off.

Get a reference for the third figure, the proportions and general anatomy are a little weak.
Pay more attention to the way the neck connects the head, and the facial feature placement on the head.

I think you just needed more time and pressure so it wouldn't come out feeling rushed.
It is rather flat though. Some of the lines you didn't connect could have been used to improved the flatness
by showing overlapping forms in space, like a line for the back of the head behind the right (our right) ear,
a line indicating the left side of the face being in front of the left (our left) ear.

draw a ground plane and box around the bug, you might find the legs aren't aligned/parallel with the main body.

You could use darker shadows for the neck, which is shielded from light by not only the head, but her hair,
instead of just dark shadows for the crotch/inner thigh area. The thigh gap might also be a bit wide.
Not much to say, but it's a decent start!

Definitely some lopsided-ness going on, where the two 3/4 view helmets don't read as symmetrical.
It might help you see this if you flip the canvas or draw a grid box around it,
or even just carefully observe simple 3d helmet models on sketchfab at that particular angle.

Really great shapes and style.
Not a whole lot to add honestly!
I'd personally simplify the figure's hand in more of a pentagon shape,
to indicate the thumb and angle of the knuckles.

Some things, like the frilled sleeves around the upper arms and the skirt falling around the left (our left) leg
could indicate form better in the way they curve around the limbs.
Might help to draw contour lines curving around the cylindrical limbs.

That's impressive!
It is a little odd seeing some of the wonkier bits of architecture
(stairs, wooden scaffolding on the right half of the image), compared to the much neater and straight areas
(roof, windows, wooden scaffolding on the top left half of image, the four small steeples), but it is a WIP.
For the block of earth the castle's sitting on,
space out the ridges in the dirt with large, medium and small, as they seem a bit evenly spaced.

The solid black shadow stuff is a nice stylistic choice,
although the placement is a little inconsistent - focusing on the two figures on the left,
part of the back hair is shaded, part isn't, the nook of the waist area and right girl's under arm is,
but the crotch which would also be fairly shadowed, isn't.
I'd suggest examining the choices made by comic book artists like Mignola and Frank Cho.

rather than the 3d shapes, making them seem somewhat flat.
Don't be afraid to draw through the figure or wrapping lines at joints.

I think her expression when she gets an idea looks a little frightened though,

I do feel that each of her individual limbs are rather stiff and straight though!
This sort of makes a starfish sort of effect,
where the life of action is weakened as it's channeled out into several different equally straight lines,
instead of focusing the gesture by having some limbs form more dominant and less dominant lines.
This might not make a lot of sense, sorry.

he understands perspective and can design well, he just paints a lot so his linework is more gestural/messy
most painters are like that, the line abstractions are interpreted differently as painters tend to work through "sculpting".
