I think you'd benefit from doing the DAB line economy exercises in the first lesson, because your linework looks like it could be improved w stronger confidence. The paper you're using looks a little too toothy for the pencil work you're doing, even printer paper might be easier to work with.

Hands/piping bag are the focal point of your illustration yet they convey nothing, wich is bit sad especially for a brithday. Watch a video of someone using a pastry bag, then twist and charicature the gesture in the way you want (cute/awkward/angry...) to match the face expression. The pastry bag is also super sad, it has no happy bulge :-(((
Did you try to draw the legs? If you take the pose, try to be in balance over something with both of your hand taken, odds are you will have you legs spread to compensate. I mean, way more than what you actually have. If she is on her knee you should straighten her up (it will allow you to make a bigger piping bag, happy bulge incoming)
