Anyone else here accepted that they arent gonna make it and just settle for whatever skill level they are at now? Im putting an end to all this horrific studying. Its just too much

Im just doing whatever i want now and posting my art and im find peiple that enjoy my work
Best decision ive ever made.

wow it's almost like you're supposed to use the fundamentals to get better at what your current art is lacking at and not just mindlessly grind everything you could possibly get better at

>tfw i like grinding out fundies
>enjoy drawing hundreds of cubes and shapes from all sorts of perspectives
>tfw don’t have any ideas to apply the fundies to

I admit that whenever i do figure scribbles and make attempts at form in perspective i'm reminded each time of my lacking anatomy knowledge.
The idea of sitting down and grinding anatomy is tough to accept but i know i have to do it to be able to progress.
Every shit drawing that reminds me of the mountain i've yet to learn and have to learn to be able to draw the things that i want is painful.

Reminder of pain yet suffered but required to prevent further suffering.

Expose yourself to more media or even better, go outside. I hope you can find some inspiration anon. If you can't, drawing cute girls has always been the go-to for centuries.

I'm in it for the long haul of plucking away around an hour a day. I'm already well aware it'll take me many years to achieve what someone more dedicated could achieve in one or two, and I'm okay with that. If I can sell the odd commission or piece of merchandise on the way, great, but I don't see art as being anything more than a small financial supplement career-wise.

I've been at it for like 3 years now and I'm still pretty mediocre, but for the somewhat casual time commitment I think it's not so bad. Too much of /ic/ makes themselves miserable and bitter by taking art too seriously and pursuing it as a career virtually right out the gate.
