artstation only, because its the only site where the ratio of artists to casual people is bigger. so the people who actually follow and like your work are decent artists.

I wish instagram was better for art

All of the main ones, because you want access to as many markets as possible (yes think of audience as markets) and because all social media accounts include links to buy commissions from me.

Instagram, twitter, tumblr, facebook, pixiv, reddit.
It's a slow progress but these are bringing true "followers" from time to time.

No longer using artstation, deviantart. They don't bring any significant traffic and interest like those mentioned above. ArtStation is good for a portfolio site tho.

I can agree. Artstation also has that stacking option and you can dump them in deviantart as scraps but im not sure if your followers would get notifications for that.

Artstation seems like a pro place for a portfolio, I'm not sure I'd want lazy, unfocused stuff on it

I actually use DeviantArt because there are like a dozen artists on there I really like, and I'm way too lazy to switch platforms.
