Are you an idiot? Honestly, Loomis seems more and more like a litmus test to weed out the people who are genuinely too dumb to get good at art. If you can't even understand his head construction after he illustrates every single step to take, you really need to stop and find another hobby.

Anon wtf are you doing. Look at the top where your center line starts. It's not in the center. Even as you rotate it that starting point should remain in the center. ngmi

some people can learn from Loomis. Others can't. This is just how it is OP. There would only be one art teacher if the same methods worked for everyone. As for drawing heads, some people do like the Loomis method. Others like cylinders, sailboats, eggs, pills, boxes, and so on. Instead of bitching about being too much of a brainlet for Loomis, just go find another teacher, or you're ngmi

This.

It’s paintful to remember your first Loomis spheres. Most begginers see the method as a paint by numbers when you need to think about it as construction, and construction requires some understanding of form

The best way to learn is to buy a real foam sphere, draw the three axis and cut the sides. Draw it from life and take pictures with different lenses so you learn how form behaves to perspective

>>3451868
You shouldn't be making tutorials when you can't even draw a cross contour on a sphere properly

Learn how ellipses work in perspective, specifically make sure you understand the minor axis.

Then you have to practice drawing an even ellipse.

The only thing you can get wrong from that point is the size and degree of the ellipse but at least now there's only two dimensions of potential failure, so it's well within trial-and-error range.

Good luck
