Any daddos here who work full time with a high streak (even better if it's daily)? Especially those who have a really tough job? My friend really wanna get gud, but he say he just doesn't have energy after work (he works in customer relations). Can anyone give him some advice and anecdotes?

Do it before work and/or schedule your drawing time so you can just start working on whatever you already planned without wasting energy deciding what to do. Having something like DAD is also really helpful for external accountability even when you're tired.

I don't meet those criteria but I always found it easier to work on hobbies/skills before work and start small. Set a goal for 5 minutes of drawing but leave yourself an hour in case you get into it. Keeping the habit of 5 minutes will get easy and you'll want to work more eventually. Good luck.

Back in original Las I was in school and worked in retail. Basically I drew on breakes and on commute to School and work. Also any and all breaks I had, I would draw. I also started to wake up early to draw a bit, before I had to go to school. I would also recommend getting a small Sketchbook. If there ever was couple of mintues of quiet, I would Doodle what ever in the small sketchbook.

Side note: I'm a bit conflicted as far as whether or not to reinstate Whizzard.
I absolutely believe him when he claims to have attempted an upload while on the move, during which his internet was unreliable. The issue becomes that if I reinstate him, it opens a can of worms to 23:30 folks who can make the same claim of "Hey dude, my internet connection crapped out at the last minute and I just noticed it, can I get my streak reset" and I wouldn't have a reason to refuse them.
The one exception to this is if you had uploaded the image to your personal blog timestamped before the deadline, in which it seems appropriate to make that fix.

I don't know. I'd like your opinions on this. I just want to be fair to everyone and do the right thing.

I'm inclined to say no because part of participating is making sure your shit is actually uploaded. It's one thing if the cause was a bug on the site, it's another if you just mis-tapped your phone and carried on with your day.

That's fine, and LavaFlake agreed with this, because in the end the entire principle of the site is to draw at least 30 minutes every day, and if they clearly demonstrated that they did, indeed, draw at least 30 minutes on that day, then they're following that principle. Submitting to the site is just to keep a good track of that.

I'm not exactly sure how it worked on original las as I never seemed to have aquired any.
But it would be nice to have some sort of recovery, maybe you earn a token after a month of drawing, that token will be used up the moment you miss a day.
Then with a max limit of tokens so you can't save up too many and skip too many days.
And maybe make it so you can't use tokens in succession.

I dunno, it will complicate things a bit.
I would've loved to help out Banana, but I only have knowledge of PHP and Javascript when it comes to webdev.

On the seasonal challenge, only the flawless badge requires an unbroken streak, and you shouldn't be allowed to get that if you use up a token anyway. You lose your e-peen if you miss a day and your streak is broken, but that streak has a lot less value to begin with if you can skip days and still maintain it.

Basically, in original LAS:
- Everyone has 1 token.
- If you miss the deadline you lose that token, but you're not eliminated yet.
- If you miss the deadline again you are eliminated.
- You regenerate your token after 30 days after you lost it.
- You can only have up to 1 token.

Tokens were to keep people in the game if extenuating circumstances, acts of god, situations out of control of the person, prevented them from submitting to the site.
Ideally, it would reduce the amount of drop outs, because it is an auto-regenerating safety net.

I want to be as fair as impartial as possible. The problem is, other people have run into "my internet crapped out when I uploaded", and I didn't intervene in those cases.

Also, bottom line is, it's the seasonal challenges that matter anyway. Once summer is here (and it's here soon), you've got a clean slate. Max streak is still tracked, but seasonal performance is given precedence in terms of visual prominence being displayed on the site.

Videos say they're unavailable but yeah the Q&A session is literally for Q&A. They use that time to answer any questions you have about the material and the instructor I had for it would draw if we had specific questions as for how to tackle stuff. You can ask stuff like "How do I do x" and they'll explain it while doing it, but they don't just sit around and doodle like in normal Youtube interviews because it's specifically for a class.
You also get reviews of your homework assignments and they do paintovers and stuff with that.
While it is helpful content, I recommend just pirating it.

It's possible that some may finish by may 31 but I really doubt anyone is going to finish by the time the badge is awarded. Mad respect to you dab guys though since the expectation for each lesson is at least 8 hours of work (minus the chest challenge which much be more), which I think works out to like 3 or more hours a day of 100% focus to finish on time. Achieveable for neets maybe but that's a big commitment for normal people.

It helped me realize that idea of finishing a drawing only when it's perfect is silly and unrealistic. It also helped me with figuring out how to make kinda OK lineweight (but that's because I was looking for tutorials and good examples, not because of that ISIS faggot).
Oh, and it helped me with getting more comfortable with Krita.

Explanation provided by ISIS is simply wrong. Those weird things he drew aren't real boxes and pretending that they are (for the sake of doing the exercise "correctly") will make learning proper perspective harder.

Hated 100 chests. I feel like I got the point after 16 and the rest was just a massive time sink keeping me from progressing further. Stopped at about halfway to move on but I'll be going back to finish it later for completion's sake.

Favourite is probably animals so far, but that's not surprising because I enjoyed drawing animals before. I also enjoyed the texture lesson and challenge because it's something I never really did much of before.
