We're going to have a serious discussion about prestige in a bit. There has been a lot of confusion and I want to sort of preserve the "integrity" of the prestige values.

For now:

Plein Air will likely be dropped to prestige 2, since it's basically DAD, but instead, go outside and draw for 30 minutes.

Mech challenge will likely be dropped to prestige 3, since it doesn't seem anyone is either capable of producing professional-level work as per the prompts and honor system may not work here.

DrawABox may be elevated to 3, since I didn't account for the amount of time effort required, the daily submission requirement and how soul crushing it is to draw box after box after box.

You get much more out of going out and trying to make sense of natural lighting, with things moving, versus trying to copy the pixels of a photograph you got off google, that is entirely unable to capture naturalistic lighting. Doing all these boxes and cylinders is great and all, but what's a way to test if they are actually helping higher tiers of drawing? It kind of does feel mindless after a certain point because I'm not sure what there is to apply this too. It doesn't get more complex than being off a bit from being a perfect cube or cylinder. There's lineweight and readability/cleanliness, but that's kind of like polishing a rock to look shiny when it's still a rock.

It's the real meat of DAB. Dynamic sketching which might as well be Vilppu's Manual too since it follows similar principles. All of this allows you to understand how to see and draw whatever you want. It's magical. DAB doesn't focus on figures, but Vilppu does and it shouldn't be at all that much of a jump in difficulty if you've completed all of DAB's lessons.
