If you did you would know that Burne Hogarth had a foot in the door of illustration because of the tarzan, you would know that many of your favorite mangakas and artists find their inspiration trough western media (like for example bersek and old armour ink drawings: see Arms & Armor Pictorial Archive ).

Yes I'm a weeb. While the example I posted is extreme, my point wasn't that there are no good western comic artists in the technical sense. Being from Europe, I have a cursory knowledge of the major european comic artists. I have also happen to know about the Metabarons and whatever else you people usually cherrypick to show that western comics are great.
Western stuff simply isn't cute. Stuff like pic related looks great but... it's not cute. I don't want to protect it or fuck it (I'm not gay).
Your pic is in fact a perfect example. It shows a "sexy" lady in what looks like a slut outfit. The cutest thing in that pic is the god damn horse, and I'm no horse fucker. Compare to the cuteness of the pose I posted >>3334285 the soft expression etc. THAT is cute.
The content of western comics is usually quite politically charged which makes it absolutely disgusting to read (and that's why I dropped everything I tried to read), but I'm fairly confident I could do it if it was cute. But it's not. It sorely lack any appeal to me besides the rare technicality you can find in hidden gems. But that's like studying, not enjoying them as entertainment.
