dude , back when ca.org was active i used to enter all the time, cghub as well, then i started taking my own work seriously, i stopped lurking and posting shit on boards and forums and it was the best decision ever, those following months made more progress than i imagined. I even started reading instead of browsing meimeis and holy shit, what a difference

Im curious myself. 4chan as a whole has always had antagonizing viewpoints, but generally people are genuine and good things pass around eventually. It's possible we're getting cross traffic from other boards? The biggest problem ive seen is the "copying and tracing" meme. Anyone who thinks doing those things as being bad or...whatever they think, those folks dont understand art at all!

What do you all suggest? I think /ic/ has potential and clearly some people care. Some of you, the board as a whole, need to ignore the trolls and shitposters. Giving them any mind is what incentivises them more.

Threads on form, ideas, symbolism, using collage and general appreciation for other artists is what i can think of. Generating memes and board culture, like piccolo dick for /v/, will come natural but requires some humorous creativity.
