The actually most embarrassing life drawing thing I've experienced was unrelated to me tho.
The model was this autistic fat sperg that couldn't be still for a second. The teacher gave us portrait assignments, and he got nervous and began to touch his face and shit.

Boy I wish. I draw the best figures 95% of the time at all the figure drawing spots I go to, It's been that way for years. Everyone is usually fawning over me and passing my shit around during the break.

I've never fucked the model. But I barely even talk to anyone. You also have to be socially adept for this to even have a chance of working. To be honest, I rarely see anyone hitting on the model even when she is good looking.

Being able to do duo poses is a rare treat, and they only did it for the duration of the croquis (20 minutes of various short poses). for the rest of the day for the long pose they separated into two, the guy just doing a normal sitting down one for those who wanted to do portraits, and the woman took a more gestural standing pose and so no more boners were had.

It was quite embarrassing, especially for the guy and he was really apologetic about it after the 20 minutes, but the atmosphere in a figure drawing class (especially one with mostly older people) is as such that boners and other bodily functions aren't really that big of a deal (if you ever get a really old person to model, things can get a bit funky down there with "drippage" and whatnot=. It's just part of the human body that you sometimes can't really do anything about.

photos are great to learn from, and if you have the money there's some really good stuff out there. Drawing from life is another thing on it's own though. Cameras distort things and don't see the way we do so you run into a lot of photos where the proportions are slightly messed up. With Life drawing you also get a whole lot of average, "ugly" and stumpy bodies which really challenges your understanding of the human body. And having the 3D person in front of you gives you a much stronger feeling of depth and the ability to move around at a whim.

I feel really fortunate that the classes I go to are filled with decent people. They're mostly old liberals but they aren't toxic and extreme the way most are today.

It's not exactly a loss of libido. I've seen cases of depressed people who are either virgins or have sex very rarely. When they finally get the opportunity, instead of blowing their load early like the cliche ordains, they actually can't do much of anything. I've heard it's not uncommon.

So, not so much directly from not having sex, but more for psychological and physiological reasons tangetially related to not having sex.

Have you ever seen the documentary Crumb? There's a scene where his fucked up brother says he no longer has sexual urges. I definitely believe him, given all the other things in context. Although he might have been in his 50s, so that has a bit of an effect. He kills himself soon after.

Well, that's the goal. Most guys have a breaking in period with live models, where they have to get over the "OMG BOOBS" aspect, and go into art mode, where it's not sensual or erotic. Most do, some don't. It's pretty normal for guys and girls to be a little bit idiotic about it, the first couple of weeks - guys getting boners, girls getting embarrassed by a swinging dick. I talked to one of my figure drawing teachers about it once, if he tailored the models around it, and he said "Fuck no, I want them to get over that shit as fast as possible. I need them to, or they need to drop the class, it's too disruptive".
I've been able to switch that part of my brain off from pretty early on - I wasn't a virgin when I took my first figure drawing class, so the first model wasn't my first exposure to a naked person. It was kind of weird, for a little while, then it just became part of the art process. I always laugh when I see comments here of guys having to jerk off while drawing, that tells me they're not really artists, or trying to be artists, they're voyeurs, abusing art for their own selfish needs. I disregard them as static. They don't bring anything meaningful to the table other than monkey level behavior. Monkey see boobs, monkey jerk off. If you can't grow past that emotionally, then...well...don't know what to tell ya. You're not gonna be an artist, that's for sure. Granted, that's the kind of person who will never draw a male figure, because they think it makes them gay - they're just little trolls who are abusing art as a free form of Hustler magazine, the kind of creep our teachers would run out of class on the first day back in school. That 4chan is stuffed to the gills with them is hardly surprising, it just makes real discussion of art and art education almost impossible here.
Shit happens, though. You can be in figure drawing all semester, and that one model comes along who just wrecks it for you. We're all human.
