If you want to make money off art, you need to learn how to make money in general. Just copying Loomis heads all day isn't gonna get you anywhere.

"If you only really care about making money, the only way is to get tons of it"

What kind of stupid sentence is this? Are you autistic or is english your third language?

"its making your own company or winning the lottery."

Sure, but there are a lot of other ways to make money. There was a 12 year old who invested 100 coins for 1,000 dollars in 2010 and has made millions of investment by it, there was a guy who dug through trash and sold the items, Tai lopez didn't even had a business to begin with, he literally made money through affiliate links. You clearly have no understanding of how business work..

Do you? you are just describe me a lot of people who just get a lot of money by luck, not by hard work or knowing how to make deals.

I don't know who is Tai Lopez but with quick google search I can tell you that he looks like the typical scammer.

>> No.3285138

I might be weak in will, but I don't want to make art for more money than I think I can handle. I've always been poor and feel uncomfortable having a lot of it at a time. But the idea of working only on my art and having people pay me to continue doing so sounds ideal since my mental health is declining and interfering with my day job.

>Do you? you are just describe me a lot of people who just get a lot of money by luck, not by hard work or knowing how to make deals

First of all, these people all made intelligent decisions, it's not purely luck. The guy who dug through trashcans realized that "one mans trash is another man's gold". How is exactly is digging through trash cans not hard work? The 12 year old did extensive research and realized the value of cryptocurrency and invested in it at an early age. That's an intelligent analysis.

>I don't know who is Tai Lopez but with quick google search I can tell you that he looks like the typical scammer.

Yeah, he's a scammer. He essentially got rich by telling people how to get rich. He made lots of ads on youtube which gave the impression that he was rich to begin with when in reality he rented the lambo and the houses. He also has amazing charisma which is how he's able to build such an amazing audience. To say that his success is purely based on luck is an retarded statement. All these guys worked HARD and more importantly worked INTELLIGENTLY. Like I said, you have zero understanding of business.

but you're still telling unbelievable stories on how people gain a lot of money like the 12 years old using bitcoins, it's sound more like a bitcoin's propaganda than a super genius boy.
But ok, I suppose it's true, the kid made an investment, how he knows that funding in a new weird currency will be so profitable? Can he see the future? Did he know advanced mathematical models?, unless the kid have a new mathematical model that exactly foreseeing the behavior of the economy or a procedure that make the odds always on his favor but it was just luck or it’s a propaganda.

The scammers story it’s the typical charismatic douchebag that tricks the people with fake hopes, literally he is an oil snake salesman, and the charisma is a thing that people born with it.

The only plausible story it’s the trashman, but trade companies have always existed and there a lot of them and not all of them have a happy ending, the only thing you need to know is “buy cheap, sell expensive” but for that you will need money and hard work, not high intelligence.

You don't need any of that shit. Making good investments comes down to intelligence, luck and being able to take intelligent risks. When most 12 years old were playing outside he was studying cryptocurrency and invested in it thinking it might become worthwhile in the future. That's literally what investments come down to, you research the subject as much as possible and try to make the best prediction. Yeah sure, anyone who achieves success at an early age is a complete fake and fraud, stay mad and poor lol.

>The scammers story it’s the typical charismatic douchebag that tricks the people with fake hopes, literally he is an oil snake salesman, and the charisma is a thing that people born with it.

Who gives a shit? It works doesn't it. Also, charisma isn't something you're born with, it's a trait that developed through practice which anyone can achieve. And being charismatic isn't the only thing that made him rich, there are a lot of poor charismatic individuals. He also learned a lot about business and was able to make millions through advertisements, selling courses, and investments. Majority of people who get into business aren't exactly the most caring, honest and altruistic people.

And yes, you do need intelligence in order to sell the right products, the right way, at the right price, to the right people. Becoming a successful businessman takes a lotofhardworkandintelligenc

>> No.3285259

And yes, dumb ass, you do need above average intelligence in order to make millions. The only way you could argue against that is if you are talking about lottery winners but I'm taking about guys who invest and/or start their own business. You mentioned charisma, charisma is a form of social intelligence, you also need creativity to come up with new and interesting products, are you telling me that Mark zuckerberg, steve jobs, bill gates, mark cuban, warren buffet, all just got lucky? You're an idiot. And on top of that, you need hard work, most people who do business commonly work 14 hours a day while you're probably fapping to hentai. Stay mad and poor.

not everyone is so fixated on making as much money as possible, OP. if you dive into the "sell myself" game, you will likely spend as much time on this shit as any other small business owner. building your website, constantly changing portfolios, asslicking important people, spending a shitload on ads, prints and marketing, replacing time to work on your projects with commissions you'll most likely hate ...
do you value money over downtime / free time for your art?

it's much more desirable to live a modest live, not have a fucking 4K tv that breaks after two years and so on. if you live outside of car-crazy US and in a major city, you don't need a car and will save a lot of money doing erands on foot on by bicycle or getting in a car rent program, if you really need one occasionally.
there's a reason why real artists aren't as driven by the goal to make as much money as they possibly can, like business students. they would rather have as much free time as possible, because that way you can further your research, find new things to inspire you, travel, practice, experiment, buy art supplies and so on.

>> No.3285505

I have this suspicion that the difficulty of marketing your art is highly overrated. Probably not as hard as people make it to be, unless you are retarded when it comes to social media and the internet in general.

I like your philosophy.. I manage to live on about 1/6 the average income for my area. I just think to myself: would I rather ride my bike somewhere, or work some shitty retail job to not have to do that? Would I rather not have x, or work for an equivalent amount of time? Turns out, work is worse than most things.

Problem is, women seem kinda turned off by the fact I don't have a car and have a million hours of free time. I think lacking companionship is probably worse than working so I might have to change my strategy a bit :)

my gf is a singer and has pretty much the same approach to work and free time as i do. she finances her music herself, but she works as a private teacher to get a decent income. we both work the same job three months in summer. you end up working some 70hours a week, if you are unlucky and it's a general mess in terms of working conditions, bu it's so fucking well paid. i live off of that wage for almost the rest of the year. applying for tax returns at the start of the next year, i get almost a quarter of the wage in addition to that.

i love the idea of doing a shitty job for three months and almost having the entire rest of the year for myself and my art. i'd fucking love to afford a car, but it just isn't in the deal. maybe later.
