/fda/ is a fairly new general on /ic/. It's a thread for the science and study of drawing anime and its aesthetics. Users of this thread are encouraged to participate and learn with each other; share feedback, resources, and discuss just how to fucking draw anime. Everyone, lets learn together!

I don't even get this board's beef with anime. This is a single thread compared to several threads that are unproductive and just shitposting, like the weekly "I paid the commission in full guys, and now I'm high and dry with no art" thread, and stuff gets done here, and everyone loses their shit. I'm willing to think the niggers that keep making the threads early and getting them deleted probably do it to get the threads banned, too.

the eye sockets are recessed into the head, with the eyeballs sitting within. They're not on the surface plane of the head.

Anime *tends* towards a flatter face, but this doesn't mean you can't still imply recessed eye sockets and brow ridges.

Yeah, you have to take into account that the forehead will only break back when the eyes are further apart. The closer they are, and you'll have a harder time distinguishing the eyebrow line with the rest of the head. Be careful about that.
