Seen plenty of female artists that do the blocky style for their basic underpainting. It's pretty common for painting in general, not specific to gender. Most "good" painters seem to have this "style" during the early stages of a painting that then gets refined, curved, and detailed.

That's all that piece really is -- unpolished underpainting that would go on to become more if the artist pursued it.

You can't talk to HR about these things because the HR is complicit. They aren't there to cover you as the employee per-se as much as they're there to cover the higher ups and the company itself. You do get once in awhile an outside HR team come in for "culture and company values" aka do damage control over a potential lawsuit from an employee being sexually assaulted, but that's smoke and mirrors.

The reason why I know all this to begin with is because these women sleep with me and divulge to me all the things that are happening behind the curtain. For obvious reasons "Don't shit where you sleep" is something to always keep in the back of your mind and I try to be careful.

I personally don't sleep with women from my department or ones that I've hired, only from other departments, including HR which is where most of the drama comes from anyway.

They can't benefit from me in the corporate sense and they are aware of it. Although I suppose I may have gotten a promotion or two out of the whole thing.

You're right, and that's part of the problem. Once you have people in charge who will not just trade, but let potential suitors know that they can have sex in exchange for promotions and other perks, it becomes very difficult to tell who made their way up there for real and who just sucked a whole lot of dick.

You have to dodge the crazy ones which might bring drama into the workplace. Screen before hand and look for signs. Be ready to reject. But over all, correct.

Also, you can more or less assume which guys are getting laid in the office and which aren't - if the guy is tall, good looking, confident, assume within the first 3-6 months that he has the women in his department already gunning after him, with other departments on the way. And I'm being conservative with that number.

I see your point but I don't think it's valid. Women have no problem brazenly flirting with guys they find attractive, even in office environments. Even out loud in front of superiors.

I don't doubt that there is a short list of guys out there who do in fact get promoted because they fuck their superiors. But this is so not the norm because women in power are rarely interest in guys without power. It's already established that women date upwards.

To even try to put the two of them side by side is questionable. You really have to be living under a rock to not see basic attraction dynamics between men and women. It's studied, it's documented, it's broken down at this stage by race (thanks to OKCupid for sticking their head out and doing this).

Let's not pretend that these women are all so hardworking and don't have the choice of easy street when it's presented to them.

Agreed. There is a short list of women who genuienly don't want to be a part of this charade. Maybe the accounting departments since they tend to be a bit on the introverted side to begin with. I genuienly feel bad for these women but there's nothing we can do. More on this below.

And this is where I bring in the age difference. It's the young ones who are going to company events, getting drunk and dancing dirty in front of their coworkers. The moms and older women know they have to wake up tomorrow because they've got obligations to their families. The fathers aren't even there, and if they are they know they have to be home by a certain time.

Afterparties - if those even exist after the whole #MeToo thing and with guys reading up on Pence's Rule and nodding their head - are mostly taken up by the younger crowd for obvious reasons.

Alcohol is a good lubricant and a great excuse, but remember: it just makes people act more like themselves. So when you hear about how so-and-so hooked up drunk, I don't need to spell it out. There are rarely harassment allegations after this because in most cases, there are more than enough witnesses to corroborate that, yes, those two individuals had chemistry or whatever from the on-set.

The reason why I said up there is that "there's nothing we can do" is because the culture of sleeping around wasn't created by these men in power. Even if they seem to benefit from it, the truth is that these women are naturally drawn to have sex with powerful men either way. And of course guys are drawn to have sex with younger, hotter women. You can't change that any more than you can make water not wet.

And so here we are, #MeToo, Pence Rule, 2018, and lastly Golden Globe.

In closing, yes - some of these diversity/equality hires are in fact getting railed by management. And they love it and the management loves it.

While I think your attitude towards and expressed opinion of half the human population is absolutely primeval, I will concede that statistically there has to be women who do fit this mold you describe. Outdated lock and key metaphor aside, there's likely a percentage of people who are okay with this being the norm.

Gonna have to disagree hard with you there. Who created this culture is irrelevant, but men in power are the ones who benefit most from perpetuating it which is why they're the ones being criticized for it. Test monkeys figured out prostitution the moment they understood the concept of money; it's safe to say that fucking for benefits is a pretty well established model. The expressed goal is to take that culture OUT of the workplace, it's not as pressing to say where it came from as it is to get rid of it.

The point that I'm trying to make is that we, as humans, have agreed and legislated that our workplaces should be fair, a true meritocracy. How well a person does at their defined work parameters should be the only factor deciding who gets the hire/promotion/assignment- not who they're related to, who they've fucked or might fuck, what their skin color is, what incriminating details they have, etc. It should be about the best available candidate right?

On paper we've all agreed that yes, people who work hard for their organization should be rewarded. Except people are so stuck in this old culture comfort zone that they put on this veneer to be socially acceptable without actually doing any of that fairness shit.
This makes unhappy workers. Unhappy workers are unproductive workers, and turnover intentions rise. So what do we end up with? A homogeneous plurality where only the majority group ascends to leadership (save a few token minorities for optics.)

If the art directors were interested in getting great artists, and the artists wanted to work on those kinds of projects, both factions would make sure noone was allowed to interfere with the integrity of that relationship. Instead we're in a situation where both sides know that in this industry women are given the opportunity to get jobs by sleeping around, and men become managers with the intention of sleeping with them, and that noone is going to look down on them for treating it as such.
