And when it is photobashed, more of you don't seem to understand that in he industry, concept art piece need to be cranked out by the hour, so you don't have time to draw every little detail manually. The artist has to focus on the overall "concept", then move on to the next one.

Woman killed 2D animation. Never forget that.

Seen plenty of female artists that do the blocky style for their basic underpainting. It's pretty common for painting in general, not specific to gender. Most "good" painters seem to have this "style" during the early stages of a painting that then gets refined, curved, and detailed.

That's all that piece really is -- unpolished underpainting that would go on to become more if the artist pursued it.

Sexual conduct doesn't belong in the workplace at all. It especially shouldn't be what gets you ahead, so I get why someone who believes sex for career advancement is happening would feel like they're being treated unfairly and perceive that one group (women) is getting special advantages over his group (men)

Hey dude, if it's such a problem at your company what are you doing to fix it? Go talk to HR, learn a bit more about the policies, ask them about the kind of climate they're trying to create and how, what kind of transparency and fairness measures are in place- oh yeah, and ask about mentoring opportunities you might not be aware of. I'm rambling about a different/recent Blizzard hire.

Blizzard can have (and often does, to be fair) their choice of top whatever in the industry. It's when you start to get questionable quality and meh-tier qt shit that you need to poke your head a bit deeper and wonder how-in-the-world.

From what I've seen personally, none of this surprises me to be honest. And yes, it's dirty. Everyone "knows" it's happening just like everyone in Hollywood "knows" about casting couches but everyone is tight lipped.

>>3267043
Nah, I do plenty of hiring. Women are more than competent if you're hiring with your head and not with your dick. Bottom line before pussy.

>>3267049
I agree the tone can come across as woe-is-me but I'm already in a senior role, I'm younger than most of the company, and I make more money than I know what to do with. I don't harbor jealousy around these things (as you'll soon find out why).

You can't talk to HR about these things because the HR is complicit. They aren't there to cover you as the employee per-se as much as they're there to cover the higher ups and the company itself. You do get once in awhile an outside HR team come in for "culture and company values" aka do damage control over a potential lawsuit from an employee being sexually assaulted, but that's smoke and mirrors.

The reason why I know all this to begin with is because these women sleep with me and divulge to me all the things that are happening behind the curtain. Some refuse the "offers" the bosses give them in exchange for sex. Some agree. They can't go to HR and they know it. If you just show up to do your job and go home to your kids, you'd be completely blind to it all.

It wouldn't surprise me if Blizzard gets hit with a sexual harassment thing, but it might take awhile.

While you're up there then you get people all around you saying 'I wonder how many dicks you had to take to get up here?' and no one believes that you didn't take a single dick to get up there. That'd probably be a pretty shit feeling.

I do get what you say when HR is there to cover the companies ass- if they don't implement the damage control team's policy suggestions seriously and/or choose a shitty program then it's just creating backlash and fuckall else.
However they're also _supposed_ to be the ones keeping the shit from even happening so the damage team doesn't have to come in. That's where bad HR comes in, and they bury shit under paper but it's still there stinking up the work culture.
The reason I said start with HR is that's the first stop in creating a paper trail in proving a discriminatory work environment- but that's when I assumed you were just an office drone butthurt about being passed over.

PS: if you really have more money than you know what to do with, go support a local charity like an animal shelter or food bank or camps for cripples or some shit. It's good for your fucking soul.

Fair question and you raise good points.

For obvious reasons "Don't shit where you sleep" is something to always keep in the back of your mind and I try to be careful.

I personally don't sleep with women from my department or ones that I've hired, only from other departments, including HR which is where most of the drama comes from anyway.

They can't benefit from me in the corporate sense and they are aware of it. Although I suppose I may have gotten a promotion or two out of the whole thing.

>While you're up there then you get people all around you saying 'I wonder how many dicks you had to take to get up here?' and no one believes that you didn't take a single dick to get up there.

You're right, and that's part of the problem. Once you have people in charge who will not just trade, but let potential suitors know that they can have sex in exchange for promotions and other perks, it becomes very difficult to tell who made their way up there for real and who just sucked a whole lot of dick.

As I've mentioned I'm one of the younger side in the company, which means there's plenty of married women, some with kids, who have no issues whatsoever having sex with coworkers. Some of it is full on cuckoldry with the husband knowing. If they get a promotion out of it, they're more than happy to do it.

>PS: if you really have more money than you know what to do with, go support a local charity [...]

Agreed. I regularly donate to my local hospitals and charities.

I'm writing this up because it's easy to kneejerk the "misogynist!!" card at people who question certain individuals employment possibilities.

So next time you see a young, attractive, slim, tattooed/pierced girl in a big company, just keep in the back of your mind that she is more than likely riding corporate dick and loving it.

I disagree. In this context, I think it's a practical way to look at things because in business, money talks and bullshit walks.

This doesn't mean that you can't have a bit of fun with your coworkers and treat them with respect. All it means is that you aren't completely ignorant to the fact that some might have residue from the VP of Whichever Department when you go down on them.

In this day and age you need to go out of your way, and I mean really go far, to find a girl in some big corporate or fancy industry or whatever that isn't fucking her coworkers regularly. The culture promotes it, and society promotes it. The only people blind to it seem to be guys who are unwilling to lift the blindfold and see how things really are.

No one is going to stop you - you can choose to keep your blindfold on like some of their husbands do, and continue to believe what you want to believe.

that IS a really shitty way to look at it. Do you actually LIKE working for a company that has an implicit sexual career track, or is it just what you've been conditioned to expect? Like, does it bother you morally even a bit that this stuff happens? And if it does, why stay complicit?

You suspect you got a promotion or two out of sexual relationships in the workplace- you climbed that dick ladder, and that makes you a whore. At least as much of a whore as you're projecting on to the 'young, attractive, slim, tattooed/pierced girl in a big company' The only difference is that while you know your own sexual history for sure, you probably don't know hers. Oh yeah, and if people find out about your sexual conduct you'll probably only get a slap on the wrist (couple weeks unpaid, tops) while HR buries it whereas the woman usually gets removed from their position and forced to sign an NDA to protect the company from litigation.
(You're here so you're probably not famous enough to warrant a real sex scandal unless you've fucked a lot more co-workers. sorry.)

Also, what's up with assuming it's only the pretty ones who can fuck to the top? I'm not calling 'musoggyknees' on you or anything, just wondering if you've ever asked yourself why it's that specific image you have.

Sorry for poking at your thought processes dude, I'm just curious and if I'm getting out of line you don't have to reply.

No worries at all.

To be brutally honest I'm okay with it. And if one of the women told their department head how I did so and so for her milestones or whatever and how I should be rewarded then by all means, call me a whore. Yes, she probably had inclination to recommend me over someone else because I fucked her.

I think an underlying issue here that isn't discussed is that these women are attracted to particular archetypes of men. In particular, men in charge and men with money.

Let me put it to you this way: you'd be hard pressed to find a corporate environment that doesn't have an implicit sexual career track. That's a point I've been trying to make this whole time.

Sex sells, men are buying it, and women are loving it. This whole #MeToo bullshit is silly.

>(You're here so you're probably not famous enough to warrant a real sex scandal unless you've fucked a lot more co-workers. sorry.)

No. I think the get-away orgies are only for CEO and his top brass buddies. But they exist. Hell, the banking industry is the worst in this regard from what I hear.

correct me if I get any of what you said wrong
>This whole #MeToo bullshit is silly.
You say this because you're okay with how things currently are. You're not saying to women 'fuck me or else' but you're still more or less able to find fuck buddies in the workplace and might get extra recognition on top of that. Point is, you're able to openly pick up casual sex at work with little to no risk to your career correct?
Also your assertions indicate that you are aware that there ARE people in your organization trading sex for success so you are therefore the merits of any female in an authority position is immediately suspect. Doesn't matter if the boss said fuck me and you get the promotion or if she said I'll fuck you for this promotion- you'll assume that it happened. Is this an assumption you would also hold about a man higher up the totem pole or what would it take for you to assume that a guy had slept his way to that position? How many do you think assume that about you? What about a female coworker at a similar level to yours?

So the thing is there's lots of people who aren't blind to this, they do know what's going on BUT ALSO know that they shouldn't be getting sexually harassed at work. They had to sign the same useless zero tolerance policy on day one like you (probably) did. They know things are supposed to be one way, but people behave in the complete opposite way without ever outright telling them the policies are for show & here's how it really works. Because they know, everyone knows, that doing things that way is illegal. I'm pretty sure that's the number one thing screeched at the alleged victims 'why didn't you go straight to the police if it was really a crime?' But most of these people likely aren't out to ruin someone's life or make a quick profit- they just want the corporate culture on paper to match what's happening in real life. At the core of the matter they're only demanding accountability, so how is that silly bullshit?

>> No.3267709

Looks like this is the evening of /ic/ meets gender sex dynamics. Alright, I'll play for a bit.

>Point is, you're able to openly pick up casual sex at work with little to no risk to your career correct?

You have to dodge the crazy ones which might bring drama into the workplace. Screen before hand and look for signs. Be ready to reject. But over all, correct.

Also, you can more or less assume which guys are getting laid in the office and which aren't - if the guy is tall, good looking, confident, assume within the first 3-6 months that he has the women in his department already gunning after him, with other departments on the way. And I'm being conservative with that number.

He might be pissed at someone in the management fucking the girl he likes but he knows the game, and he knows she's doing it willingly and with pleasure - he can't have her. I've seen guys defending the girl because of how blinded they are by their emotions for her.

Over all, it's not like it's a hard thing to do especially if you know your basics in how to relate to people and make them feel at ease (cf. How To Win Friends and Influence People.)

The more mediocre guys (yours truly) that don't have this edge have other means. One is to be a person of interest. Show a slight dominating edge, be seen in important social circles, make departmental policies, ....

As an aside, When I say that I can be seen as a whore it's mostly a joke. A guy has to go an extra mile to whore himself out, and even then he will fail. For women the situation is reversed. You should know the dynamics here, how women compete amongst themselves for the short list of guys that their friends want. They would rather all share one man than settle for someone second-rate.

Clubbing by today's standards might be seen as an outdated concept but it's a good example: women typically get in for free and it's the guys that have to pay. As I mentioned before - sex sells, women are selling it, and guys are buying.

> [...] How many do you think assume that about you? [...]

I see your point but I don't think it's valid. Women have no problem brazenly flirting with guys they find attractive, even in office environments. Even out loud in front of superiors.

For a guy to be given that much brazen attention is a sign of power and superiority, not whoring out. If he tried to flirt the way they do he would be given a talk by HR, potentially escorted out. In fact, women would see him as a creep, even if he's a magnet outside of the office.

I don't doubt that there is a short list of guys out there who do in fact get promoted because they fuck their superiors. But this is so not the norm because women in power are rarely interest in guys without power. It's already established that women date upwards.

To even try to put the two of them side by side is questionable. You really have to be living under a rock to not see basic attraction dynamics between men and women. It's studied, it's documented, it's broken down at this stage by race (thanks to OKCupid for sticking their head out and doing this).

Let's not pretend that these women are all so hardworking and don't have the choice of easy street when it's presented to them.

Remember: key that opens any door -> master key; lock that can be opened by any key -> shitty lock.

PS. And no, I'm not saying that women aren't hardworking or that they are all whores. I work with plenty that aren't. But the number that get turned on by powerful men dwarfs the ones that aren't. And that leads to sex regardless of office dynamics.

On the other hand, I don't think there are many guys that wouldn't suck a good cock for a billion dollars either.

>> No.3267726

>they do know what's going on BUT ALSO know that they shouldn't be getting sexually harassed at work

Agreed. There is a short list of women who genuienly don't want to be a part of this charade. Maybe the accounting departments since they tend to be a bit on the introverted side to begin with. I genuienly feel bad for these women but there's nothing we can do. More on this below.

And this is where I bring in the age difference. It's the young ones who are going to company events, getting drunk and dancing dirty in front of their coworkers. The moms and older women know they have to wake up tomorrow because they've got obligations to their families. The fathers aren't even there, and if they are they know they have to be home by a certain time.

Afterparties - if those even exist after the whole #MeToo thing and with guys reading up on Pence's Rule and nodding their head - are mostly taken up by the younger crowd for obvious reasons.

Alcohol is a good lubricant and a great excuse, but remember: it just makes people act more like themselves. So when you hear about how so-and-so hooked up drunk, I don't need to spell it out. There are rarely harassment allegations after this because in most cases, there are more than enough witnesses to corroborate that, yes, those two individuals had chemistry or whatever from the on-set.

The reason why I said up there is that "there's nothing we can do" is because the culture of sleeping around wasn't created by these men in power. Even if they seem to benefit from it, the truth is that these women are naturally drawn to have sex with powerful men either way. And of course guys are drawn to have sex with younger, hotter women. You can't change that any more than you can make water not wet.

And so here we are, #MeToo, Pence Rule, 2018, and lastly Golden Globe.

In closing, yes - some of these diversity/equality hires are in fact getting railed by management. And they love it and the management loves it.

While I think your attitude towards and expressed opinion of half the human population is absolutely primeval, I will concede that statistically there has to be women who do fit this mold you describe. Outdated lock and key metaphor aside, there's likely a percentage of people who are okay with this being the norm.

>the culture of sleeping around wasn't created by these men in power
Gonna have to disagree hard with you there. Who created this culture is irrelevant, but men in power are the ones who benefit most from perpetuating it which is why they're the ones being criticized for it. Test monkeys figured out prostitution the moment they understood the concept of money; it's safe to say that fucking for benefits is a pretty well established model. The expressed goal is to take that culture OUT of the workplace, it's not as pressing to say where it came from as it is to get rid of it.

The point that I'm trying to make is that we, as humans, have agreed and legislated that our workplaces should be fair, a true meritocracy. How well a person does at their defined work parameters should be the only factor deciding who gets the hire/promotion/assignment- not who they're related to, who they've fucked or might fuck, what their skin color is, what incriminating details they have, etc. It should be about the best available candidate right?

On paper we've all agreed that yes, people who work hard for their organization should be rewarded. Except people are so stuck in this old culture comfort zone that they put on this veneer to be socially acceptable without actually doing any of that fairness shit.
This makes unhappy workers. Unhappy workers are unproductive workers, and turnover intentions rise. So what do we end up with? A homogeneous plurality where only the majority group ascends to leadership (save a few token minorities for optics.)
The culture's bad for business.
