I've had family members ask me why I don't do more of a specific kind of painting I do to cover up works that fail miserably. My mother hung two of them in her house because she thinks they're really beautiful and didn't want me to burn them.

I made a very basic model to get the perspective correct and am currently painting over it to give it texture, lighting and detail.

The anime thing is definitely intentional. I want to create a semi-realistic cartoon, when I get the chance, and I'm trying to build up my background painting and illustration skills.

I'm occasionally involved in the animation industry, but sometimes I think I'd be doing better if I was in Japan. I feel like my art style would fit better there.

Screw trying to break into Anime though. It's hard enough to get into animation in a country where I speak the language...
