These 3 drawings are the most recent ones ---I've been working on
-The first one on the far left I drew 1st and 2-3 weeks later inked. (Which I enjoyed doing)
-The second one was done 2 hours ago
-The 3rd one has been the one I've been working on for the past 4 days.( Which I love how it turned out)

I despise the middle one , as I felt ready to draw and look up inspiration but the execution came out underwhelmingly small.

What do you do /ic/ when you feel like your new drawing came out crappy?

I stop drawing shitty western cartoon art and do something netter with my time.

First, remember no matter who you are you're never going to consistently top yourself every single new drawing you make. Do you beat your highscore every time you play a game (this analogy is already dated but you know what I mean)? Of course not, you can only blow yourself out the water every now and again, but it's the work you do in between that gets you there.

As for what I do, personally: I take a break. Usually 1-3 days even, I just don't draw, and instead recharge by watching things like new movies, learning about new things, looking over my old work to see what I still need to improve at (which is ultimately always answered "everything" but you have to pick at least one thing specifically) just doing what you can to inspire and enrich your creativity. I always notice a big improvement between the last piece I did before I took my break and the first piece I do after.

Granted I practice a good chunk of the day every day, it's only natural I'd need a weekend break every week or two. Your mileage may very.

I get super antsy every time I don't draw. Sometimes I think to myself
>I haven't drawn in days,
but then I look on my computer files at see 13 doodles done on ms paint in the course of a couple of days. I freak out, as this is what I wanna do in my life, and it makes me feel like I reverted to 7th grade me every time this happens
