Will I learn through drawing fucking boxes or what?

>> No.3237875

Do you learn through doing anything?

the idea is just to START simple, and then move on to more complex things. You don't need to grind thousands of boxes

lol based on what? because the "pros" told you? stop fucking memeing, drawing boxes is a meme, period.

Are you retarded?
He even said you don't have to do thousands of them.

Boxes, cylinders and spheres are the basis for every constructed drawing and great for illustrating a lot of important concepts on a non complex subject.

Practicing rotating, transforming and intersecting boxes is a very good exercise and far from a meme.

Something you fail to understand doesn't equate to being a meme. On the off chance that this post isn't bait and is just an uninformed opinion, I'd tell you that visualizing complex figures in multiple simple shapes helps build figures efficiently and more comfortably than most other methods you can find.

Yes. You will learn how to draw by drawing boxes. The thing you will learn how to draw is boxes.

If you know more than the pros then why are you a failure?

its not about drawing the boxes or the spheres or the cylinders, its not about drawing the portrait, muscles or anything for that matter, its about the thought process that goes on in your head that needs to be trained, its easier to get started with things that arent too complex so easy 3d shapes are the best

You can learn a lot from drawing boxes. Shading gradients, mentally rotating objects, even just improving your comfort with moving your pencil. It just depends on what specific skill you want to practice.

If you can't even get youself through a few boxes then what do you think you can accomplish with this mindset?

dont approach art so ridgedly
you got to be loose
have fun and draw the things you see around you study whenever you feel stuck

Since simple 3d forms (not just boxes) make good placeholders for everything else you could possibly want to draw, uh... hell yes. Pic related, you can use boxes for figuring out perspective on humans.

Have you not even seen the shit in the Scott Robertson how to draw book? All of the shit in there is made out of boxes and cylinders and shit.
