>those hair strokes
How?
Is this what looks like when you flex your ligamemes?

Please explain.

>> No.3222044

What do you mean "how"? You just draw lines.

Flexing your ligamemes would be conveying the same level of gesture and form with as low amount of lines as possible.

Isn't rendering just lots of superfluous details?

It's the most basic hair rendering, anon. Get your shit together.

You dumb nigga you know there's more to it than that, the varying lineweight also makes Suzuki's hair look so good. Unfortunately that's as far as I know, I'd like to know how he choses which hair lines to make bolder than others.

I bet if you actually bothered to try this technique, you'll see there there's no trick to it at all. You separate the major forms of the hair into clumps, then you use a single lineweight to draw the direction of the hair.

Just try it. It's not hard.

>bolder contours

Nothing more to it. It's a BASIC technique, and you'd know it, if you bothered to learn drawing hair.

But it makes it look pretty.

Rendering just means refining. It has nothing to dow ith superfluous details.

You make the outline of individual locks to crerate the form, then fill them in with spaghetti. Thats all.

Kenya Suzuki. Their color choices are really neat.

Check out Tran Nguyen.
There's an article in Imagine FX 151 where she explains how she does this.
