I'm 31 and I've been at it intermittently for four years now and I still draw like Andrew Dobson; I don't think my ego is inflated enough to spend what little time I have left harassing some random dude over and over again. Wouldn't it be more fulfilling to just shitpost with no particular goal in mind, instead?

I agree. I used to hate nosebro because of his attitude and his art not appealing to me. Now I see he's just trying to give his best, whatever that may be for each of us. At least he's having fun making something that he likes and I don't want to tell anyone to stop doing that.

I know plenty of stupid people who are shit at art and many of my favorite artists are intelligent fellas knowledgeable in many fields beyond art. A big part of art is problem solvingpand shit. Lastly -and this will sound extremely pedantic,uso hurray for anonimity- I consider myself both slightly above average in art and in intelligence (or in some types of it, if you're into that definition, I'm basing my own on my grades throughout my whole life here). But I also think an even bigger part of art is the time you invest in it, so I'm not going to stroke my own cock too much either. The balance between time and intelligence for art is a topic that could spark some interesting debate, in my own experience I've been doing quite fine in both university and gitting gud at art.

Bottom line is: I think dumb people who get good at art but fail at school are just investing more time in drawing than in education, they may not even be really dumb to begin with.

No, I'm a complete and utter legitimately autistic retard with exceedingly poor communication and organisational skills and I still somehow have an overseas internship lined up for summer and get regular well-paying commissions. I will move countries and be working in the games industry or feature films within a few years tops. Improving every single day, just working on building a portfolio right now for my 3D Character Art and concept art.
