I'd be interested to know if he exercises. I've found three hours jogging puts me in the mental position to draw, much like an 8-hour shift can. A hike on a good forest trail helps to clear the mind and it makes you feel more ambitious as well.

That isn't true. It isn't simply doing something - such a simply mindset leads to stagnation. Even genetic algorithms don't simple "do" and action. They constantly change their strategies and changing variables based on goals.
